I called, hoping to get a quote for the labor involved in replacing the case for my watch. After I asked my question, he began to ramble a bit, before responding with a few questions, rudely talking over me when I attempted to respond, and then rudely saying "I don't want to get involved with that crap, call somewhere else. Bye." I don't care how good he is at his job or how low his rates may be, if that's how he behaves he doesn't deserve anyone's business.

Khue Pham is a master at repairing clocks. He has tremendous knowledge of clocks and all of their intricate parts. He did a wonderful job repairing my clock and I truly enjoyed our very pleasant association, and chatting with him. I highly recommend him for the job. Thank you Mr. Pham.

I took our mantel clock to A Time N Place after passing by the shop while I was shopping at the Park Road Shopping Center earlier that day. This clock had been my husband's grandparents and it had not been working for at least 17 years, probably longer. After a quick look at it and after asking me when it was last working, the owner told me that he could clean it and see if that fixed it. However if cleaning didn't fix it, then I was looking at more expensive repair because that usually included replacing bushings and other parts. He quoted me a $100 for the cleaning and said it would be ready within a week. I dropped it off on a Saturday and by Tuesday he called to say it was ready and working. He charged $100 for the service. When I picked it up, he took the time to show me how to remove the counter weight for transporting back to my home, told me how often to wind it (more frequently than once per week for a few weeks, since it had not been used for almost two decades), and how to set the time (wait for the chimes to ring on each quarter of the hour). The clock has been working well and we're enjoying the beautiful chimes of our family heirloom. I can't believe it took us almost 2 decades to take it to a clock repair place, but I am glad I finally did.
Description of Work: I had the internal workings of a German mantel clock from the 1940's/1950's cleaned. When when I took it in to be examined, the clock had not been working for some time.

Damaged my grandfather's watch and did not tell me. To be fair, this incident happened 12 years ago, but I happened to be searching for watch repair shops and reminded me of the horrible experience I had here. I took my grandfathers antique Bulova watch with a very unique beveled crystal face on it to him to be cleaned and refurbished. It took him months to get it done and after much nagging I picked it up. Unfortunately, I didn't inspect it closely in the shop and later found that he had cracked the off a corner of the bezel and had tried to epoxy it back together. I'm uploading a picture of the damage. I find his actions in hiding this damage and not owning up to the problem extremely unethical and would not recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Reconditioning and repair of antique Bulova watch. Clean face and recondition internals of still-working watch.
