They came back the following Monday and replaced. They were quick and efficient. Happy with the work and love the new door. It has windows and is very quiet. great job.

I originally just wanted a maintenance job on the garage door(new wheels, lube, etc) to quiet the system. After they came out and assessed the system, recommended a new set of springs, and motor. I called a couple other places as well and they were not willing to come out without $100 fee. They did however explain over the phone that spring replacement and motor burnout was a real issue and might be best to replace it all now rather than later, meaning my $150 garage door maintenance turned into a $850+ issue.... I decided to use these guys. The scheduling of the service was a bit challenging and had to be rescheduled a few times. Luckily my wife and I are usually home so wasn't too bad. They also had to come back out after it was installed to make the door more level.

Jimmy gave me the initial quote. He is not a slick talking salesman. However, what he says he means.
My carport had no existing frame. All the other quotes I got were lower. But, they wanted nothing to do with the frame and were not including that in the quote.
Jimmy quoted the whole job. The framework that he and Dom installed was excellent with attention to detail like the caulking.
I didn't have to be concerned about hiring someone to do the frame and then them to do the door.
Instead it all went together smoothly. The door looks and operates great within an installed frame.
Before you pass these guys up because someone else's quote is lower or someone else gives a smoother pitch. First, consider that these guys take care of the whole job, know what they are doing, and you know that you are in good hands.
The salesman is the same one that does the install. He along with Dom came out to do it.
I also like that because there is no disconnect between what the salesman sold you and what is actually done. Also, there is only one person to go to if anything goes wrong.

I discovered that the spring on my garage door was broken at 6:30 pm Sunday. (I had an important early morning appointment Monday). I called several repair services listed in Angie's List as having 24/7 emergency service. This was the only company that had a live person answer the phone; none of the others even bothered to return my call despite having left a message that I needed emergency service!
They offered to send out a repairman between 6 and 7 am in order to allow me to leave my house by 8 am. I received a call shortly before 6 am telling me the service guy would be here ~6:15. He arrived right on time and completed the repair in about 40 minutes.
I am very satisfied with their punctuality and professionalism; I will definitely call them again for any garage door issues.

I didn't know that I could love a garage door - I have taken them for granted in the past. But I really love this door. It's quiet... I have an outside code box... It has a motion sensor timed light...
When we first saw our new house, my first comment was that it needed a new garage door. When we found that the door wouldn't even open, it became a pressing need before we could move in. I contacted Jimmy and he agreed to do the job even though it was slightly outside his normal service area. He met with my husband to discuss options and was willing to fix the existing door, but for the price, the new one just made sense.
He was so patient and worked with us to get the job done even though our closing date kept changing. He completed the work exactly when he said and the first time I opened the door I was in love. I continue to be really pleased and I thank Jimmy for working with us to do this!

Jimmy was fantastic. He called to let me know when he was going to show up, and showed up on time. Didn't try to sell me a new door, like the other guys. Looked over the door completely, answered the questions I had. Jimmy was nice, polite and professional. If I ever need another door fixed or replaced I will use A Plus Garage Doors.

One torsional lifting spring broke and this prevented our 16 ft. garage door from raising automatically. It would required two men to lift it manually. This is bad because there is only the wife and I to do it.
A+ was at our home within two hours. Jimmy surveyed the problem and in just a few minutes he showed us the worn guide wheels were binding in the guide rails and this caused the spring to break. He offered us the choice and cost for just replacing the broken spring, or to do the job correctly so the problem won't happen again. We chose to do it correctly and have all bad parts replaced.
He had all of the needed parts and tools in his truck and completed the work in a little over an hour. He took all old parts with him.
Jimmy was very quick, clean, thorough and polite, as was his helper, and he made sure we were happy with the results before he left.
You can hardly hear the door now when operating.

It was good. We had called them at the last minute and they came out the same day. They were helpful in showing us what was wrong and were very clear about what they were doing. I thought that the pricing was a little higher but the service itself was good.

The service man was suppose to be there at 7:30am and didn't arrive till 8am. The service that was preformed was good. He replaced the springs on the garage doors. He also noticed an issue with the initial instillation. The shaft was bent causing the bearing to wear on the shaft. He replace the shaft and bearing. He said the rollers on the door weren't turning, and wanted to replace them. They were turning, so I didn't have them replaced. He did lubricate all the rollers with WD-40. WD-40 isn't a long lasting lubricant, so I'm not sure why he was using it.
The service took a little over an hour, which seemed about right. The main thing that I did not appreciate was that he put company large sticker on my sheet rocked wall in my garage without my approval. I promptly took it off and not to get stuck permanently.
The quality of work seemed great, but the other parts of the transaction were less than stellar.

Punctuality is very important to us and we have no excuse for our lateness except to say that we are a small operation and our technicians stay very busy. We're glad that our expertise was helpful to diagnose and fix the problems you were having with the shaft and bearing. The reason that our technician used WD-40 on the rollers instead of a heavier lubricant is that WD-40 is a good choice to "unstick" parts of a system that have locked up. You are correct that it will not provide effective long-term lubrication, but our technician likely believed that the rollers were stuck but did not require actual lubrication once they were rolling again. Perhaps your rollers were rusted or dirty and that was causing the problem, which WD-40 would be appropriate to handle, but once they were cleared they would run effectively without lubrication. We leave our company sticker so that customers can contact us more easily if they want to have maintenance checkups on their door or refer a friend, and the sticker can simply be removed (as you did) if it is intrusive or not appreciated. We are a small operation and our advertising ability is limited, so we hope that you can understand us taking this small measure to build our brand. Great! Our garage door came to a grinding halt. We called Jimmy and he was able to come out the same day. ONe look, and he knew what was wrong. He worked really hard and did a great job. We asked him to look at our other door, for maintenance - he noticed immediately that the wrong size springs had been installed. So, he set to work fixing that door as well. JImmy worked hard and steady for several hours, and at the end we had 2 smoothly functioning garage doors. Jimmy was well stocked and had to go no further than his truck for all the different parts needed. Our doors are now good for another 10 years.

They were there within less than an hour, from my call. They came, detected the problem and fixed it immediately. I had asked them to lubricate the tracks, but was advised it was fine. They were expensive, but, was worth paying the same. They rendered very prompt service and did a great job. I will continue to use their services in future.

we called company last night at 8pm they told us they would be here at 6am. they showed up at 6am checked problem told us what it would cost and repaired door. done a great job in a very timely manner. took him approx 1 hour for the repair. he was very professional

I had a wonderful experience. I noticed the door was broken Friday late afternoon and called this company. I told him the problem and that it was not an emergency. We made an appointment for the following morning. Jimmy called in the morning to confirm that he was coming and arrived promptly when he said he would. We discussed options for repair of the door. He reapired it very quickly and the garage door has never worked so smoothly! I was very happy with this company and will definitely use them in the future for any garage door needs.

I called A+ to get an estimate on replacing our problematic door. Jimmy and another tech (also named Jimmy) came out to give the estimate on their way to another job. After giving the estimate, I told him I'd think about it because replacing the door wasn't in the budget. He offered to simply do what he could to get the door working again, but I didn't think it would do much good. Jimmy pointed out that I likely had an issue due to the struts I had removed and the associated loss of weight - something that he estimated to be a total of around 40 lbs. The struts make the door more rigid, but stick out some 5 or so inches, getting in the way of an already small garage. We asked another popular garage door company a couple years ago about them and we were told it was no problem to remove them, that we could remove them without incident. So I discounted what Jimmy was saying, though I didn't tell him so and agreed to put them back on when I had some time just in case there was something to what he was saying. Jimmy and the tech left and I pulled my car into the garage. As I walked into the house, I pressed the button to raise the door. The door got 1/5 of the way down, and there was a screeching noise accompanied by the door moving horribly askew, following by a "ping" noise as the top right roller shot out of its socket to fly across the garage and hit the floor. As the door looked like it might fall I backed my vehicle out and pushed a ladder up to the one side to see what was going on. The door was way off kilter and with the missing roller, was hanging oddly. One of the support cables that connects the door to the bar on which the springs are mounted over the door had come off its roller and was wrapped around the bar that runs to the spring. After a couple minutes thinking of what to do, I called Jimmy in the hopes that he could schedule an appointment to come back the next day to take a look and (possibly) repair the problem. Instead, he said that he'd turn right around and come back now, he was only 8 miles away according to his GPS heading to another job, so that I didn't have to wait! Jimmy and Jimmy arrived about 10 minutes later and went to work. In less than an hour they had put the struts back on that I had removed, straightened out the bent panel very well, lubricated the rollers and hinges, cleaned the exterior panels, and had even replaced both support cables because, as they showed me when I asked, they found that the cable was frayed as they were performing the last fixes. I am extremely pleased with Jimmy's honesty, flexibility, and workmanship. I felt that his price was very good for the service he gave me and, under what I would consider "emergency service", might be considered less expensive than it otherwise could have been. He's won my business for sure.
