1. Extremely helpful/easy to work with in deciding exactly which of many possible railing systems would make most sense in our situation, taking into account aesthetics as well as budget considerations. 2. Very flexible/helpful in being available to off-load mahogany posts being shipped from Wilmington even though delivery arrived much later than expected. It was a situation that easily could have led to heated words or their leaving at the originally-agreed-upon ending time, but instead contractor was very easygoing about the situation, did some re-adjusting of his schedule/plans and handled everything with great professionalism and no recriminations. He had our back when "life happens" and that felt very reassuring. 3. The craftsmanship on the deck railings is superlative: we can't see any way in which it could have been done better. Posts were pre-stained to avoid a much more time-consuming process of trying to stain them in place while avoiding cable wires but contractor took care to touch up all places that needed it after installation was complete. 4. Likewise, they were meticulous in assessing/fixing some rotted areas under a covered deck in a manner that focused on doing the job right (with appropriate flashing etc. to avoid recurrence) as opposed to simply making a cosmetic repair that wouldn't last more than a few years. 5. Crew was very well-organized and neat, leaving nothing behind for homeowner to clean up once they were done. 6. This was part of a much larger remodeling effort, plus we'd gotten bids for doing deck railings from others. We got an extremely reasonable price especially in light of the high quality of work performed. 7. We have already highly recommended this contractor to neighbors and would have no hesitation in using him again. His entire approach/philosophy appears to be one of doing the work as if the home were his own, i.e., high quality work, done right that will last a long time.
Description of Work: 1. Installed new cable railing system on new Red Balau deck 2. Repaired selected rotted siding boards/flashing on house and barn 3. Installed dog door
