Mr. Mellott is one of the hardest-working guys we've ever met. During the wettest summer in memory, he slogged through a huge drainage job in our clay-rich yard with professionalism and good humor. Mr. Mellott excavated a ditch around the perimeter of the house and out to an adjacent creek, waterproofed the foundation walls, installed filter fabric and a perforated drain pipe, dug 2 crawl space drains and connected those, gutter downspouts, condensation pipes, and other water sources into the drainage system. He regraded the perimeter of the house (not an easy task with wet clay!) and added new gravel to the driveway to improve its drainage. Mr. Mellott is very thoughtful and thorough, and we felt he went above and beyond to ensure the best possible result for us. We are extremely confident in Mr. Mellott's work -- and our dry crawl space, garage, and yard attest to his excellent work. Highly recommended!

I had to have an in-ground pool removed, which would leave a large hole in my back yard. I didn't want to have the hole there for any length of time because the edge of the pool was only 3 feet from the house. So I wanted to have the pool removed in the morning and the hole filled in the same day. Calvin Mellott, Jr. worked with me through the whole process. He measured the pool to estimate how much dirt was needed and talked to me about my options. We had a very rainy spring and summer which delayed the removal of the pool for several months, but when the forecast called for a week of sunshine, Mr. Mellott was very flexible in making arrangements to be here the same day the pool was removed. A couple of days before the job, he came by a second time to measure the area in order to make sure they would bring enough dirt and gravel. He was prompt and courteous and worked very hard to make sure the material was packed in solid. He was careful not to damage any trees/shrubbery on my property as he was bringing the dirt back with his bobcat, and did his best to clean off my driveway when it was done. In spite of the fact that the original estimate was given 7 months before the job was completed, his price didn't change by a penny! I highly recommend Mr. Mellott and Reclamation Services, Inc. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again should the need arise.
