They were good. They are a little expensive. It took about an hour for the service. It was kind of long. The people were really nice, they were good.

They don't do a good job, but they knock off the dirt. They do the main things that need to be done for the car. I appreciate it that they keep my car rolling. There was no cost. They do a god job. When I call and make an appointment, they give me a time to be there, and it is real quick. I have to wait but it is not that long. I have food to eat, so they can just take their time. The professionalism is very good. I will take my car as long as they do it free.

Nick Stevens was wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable about the car. We were fairly certain exactly which car we wanted and Nick did a great job of putting together a great deal for us. This was the 2nd time we've purchased from Performance in Chapel Hill and we would highly recommend them. They are very professional to deal with.

My wife had a relationship with them and that is why I started using them. My wife loves how when you go to a dealership, there is a customer service person in front of the service people. She loves the customer service guy, he is John. Normally I would not pay for the dealer, but he is fantastic to work with, and that is why we go there. Their prices are higher than normal.

Acura MDX a year ago from Brian Smith.
He was great then, as was the entire staff while we were at the
dealership. It was above expectations
during the purchasing process.
However; what is more impressive is that one year later
Brian is still there for us. I had an
issue today regarding a service appointment (the service department advised me
that my maintenance plan only covered oil changes but I thought the plan I
purchased covered all maintenance). I
called Brian and within an hour he had an answer for me. He investigated the plan I purchased and let
me know that I was indeed covered for all maintenance. He also let me know that if I had any problems
with the appointment of if the service department had any questions to let him
know.
I have to say; I do expect a certain level of customer
services when purchasing something as expensive as a car but to operate at this
level of service a year later really goes beyond those expectations. I was very impressed with the attentiveness
that Brian gave me a year after our purchase.

Originally schedule appointment was for Tuesday. Called Monday morning and asked to move appointment to later that day. Service advisor stated that they would accommodate my schedule change and further asked if a list bat would be needed. They completed the service including a cleaning within a few hours and I was on my way for a late afternoon appointment.

I went to a different mechanic for a second opinion and he told me that the code pulled indicated that a thermostat needed to be replaced - not the car computer. I had him do the repairs and the cost was $260 - a 10th of what Performance quoted me. The engine light has been off ever since (more than 6 months) and the car is running fine. Obviously the other mechanic diagnosed and repaired the car properly. I therefore wrote to the Performance complex manager and requested a refund of the amount Performance charged for their misdiagnosis. He responded promptly, was very apologetic and issued a refund.
Because the problem was resolved and given that Performance is on my way to work I scheduled a maintenance visit for my car. The car was running fine without any problems. I specifically requested that only required service be performed as opposed to work being done simply because the car had hit that mileage. When I checked in on-line the estimate was in excess of $800! I did consult with the service representative but was not confident of his response. Perhaps the actual service would have been considerably lower but because the estimate was so very high for a maintenance service, I decided to go back to the other mechanic. I made the same request of this mechanic. My car was serviced and the total, less a $10 coupon came to just over $38 for the oil change and tire rotation. The mechanic indicated that the other fluids were clean and at the appropriate levels and that the car checked out fine. We are talking about a potentially $700 plus difference.
Although I have had good experiences over the years at Performance, based on these two more recent experiences I have decided to have my car serviced by the other mechanic because of quality work at an affordable price, even though that location is not nearly as convenient as Performance.
