MVP VIDEO DUPLICATION

The service was prompt but I got the sense that he didn't watch the video at all to check the quality (though I did not ask him if he watched it). The DVD had a streaky abnormality all across the bottom of it. I understand that this could have been due to the age of the video but I would have appreciated it if he had mentioned it and had given me his opinion as to the problem and whether he tried to correct it. I will take the video to someone else to see if I can get a better copy.

The originals were in very poor condition but MVP worked carefully and succeeded in preserving them all. Service was courteous and informative and we were very pleased.

John Watkin has done many, many jobs for me both personally and professionally. He is easy to work with and he does only quality work. I have had home movies transferred to DVD, VHS tapes of my kids school performances transferred to DVDs and old media for my office transferred to DVD. I would highly recommend him.

I was pleased with the service that John Watkins (owner) provided. My need was simple ... his service simple and priced appropriately. I was a bit disappointed that the 2 VHS videos could not be put on one DVD, seeing as each was less than 30 minutes long. John explained it had something to do with the space on the DVDs. No problem ... it wasn't a game changer. His price for duplications was very reasonable and he was pleasant to work with. He also promised next-day service and I assumed he would call me when the DVDs were ready, but I didn't receive a call until 4 days later ... again, not a problem since I was not in a rush. Had I been, I would have mentioned it, and I'm sure he would have provided it. Overall, I'd say he did a very good job ... simple request and simple process.

I did not want to send the only copies of our 8mm home video tapes to one of those 'online' companies that transfer to DVD for two reasons: 1) I was afraid of the process of mailing them, letting someone at a big company handle/produce them, and then having them mailed back. It seems like so much could go wrong in that process and I would be crushed if we were to lose any of this original footage. 2) This was a last-minute idea before Christmas and it would take way too long to contact a company, have them mail the special packaging, package and ship the tapes back, wait for processing, and then wait for the return mail. Working with John at MVP Video was the perfect solution to both of my fears. I loved that he was local and that I could drive to his studio and personally hand off my tapes. He made me feel extremely comfortable and excited about the entire process. I am still so grateful for the timeliness of this project - I contacted him on a Thursday, he got back to me on Monday. I dropped the tapes off at Noon on Monday and they were done by Wednesday afternoon. AND it was the week before Christmas - a busy time I assume. It is true that you can find cheaper rates at the online retailers for video transfer, but the personal, local, and super-speedy service more than made up the price difference for me! I highly recommend working with John.

John Watkin did a fantastic job with our movies. He was very professional and friendly when he gave us the estimate for the work required. We were not in a hurry and he completed the job in about a week and a half. After we picked up the DVD's, we enjoyed watching movies that I had not seen in 40+ years. They brought back a lot of fond memories of my growing up with friends and family. We plan to have John transfer our own home movies from VHS tapes to DVD's in the future. That way our daughter's will also have DVD's recording their time growing up.

The cassettes were done within a couple of days. Everything was labeled neatly. The owner was very personable and did an excellent job.
