The service was excellent. The work was thoroughly done, and they were prompt and professional. This was a deep cleaning, which they do the first time, and I have no hesitation in having them continue on a bi-weekly maintenance basis.

I really wouldn't recommend them. I don't know what you have showing on there, but the two girls that they sent out to me were rude, did not do the job. They charged me $107 to bag the dust and have cleaned up two bathrooms, make my bin, and they put something on my kitchen floor. I had to pay somebody to come and clean the kitchen floor. It was so grummy. When I called them to tell them that I no longer needed their service, he never called me back to find out what the problem was. He never did. I told them once that the two girls that they sent were very irresponsible.

We've used this Molly Maid for one year. Early on, we noticed that they clean very aggressively and rush through everything. We asked that they slow down a bit and be more gentle on our wood blinds but they still slammed the swiffer down them hard each visit, despite our requests. Also we had an antique mirror resting against a wall in the spare room upstairs (we had just moved in and although it was a dumb thing to do on our part, this is where we temporarily put the mirror). The cleaners were upstairs and my husband was downstairs when he heard the crash. The cleaners had just cleaned the room the mirror was in and had moved to the next room when the mirror fell. They immediately claimed to my husband it wasn't their fault. One of the cleaners was visibly angry and called her boss still maintaining it wasn't their fault. He came over almost immediately and felt that of course it was an accident but yes, it was their fault. He took the mirror and had it fixed and returned within a week, which was great and why we stuck with them. However, it was a concern that the cleaners were so adamant that it wasn't their fault and had my husband not been home, we would have had trouble proving it. At the next cleaning, that particular person ignored me completely which was uncomfortable. I believe after that they sent a different team. Through the year, the team was reliable. However, they were still really aggressive and rushed, cleaning a 3200 sq. ft house in less than 1.5 hours, often missing things. Last month, after we returned from the house being cleaned, we immediately noticed the sensor on our garbage can (it opens automatically when you wave your hand over it) wasn't working. We changed the batteries and my husband took apart the whole thing to see that a part had been broken, probably from being accidentally dropped. We called Molly Maids and spoke to the manager who said he would speak to the team. He called back and said they said they didn't break it. Okay - that's $100 we're out of. I then brought up that the floors were still really dirty for having just been cleaned. I asked what product they use and he said WATER. Really? All they use is water to clean the wood floors. No wonder they were still dull and dirty, not to mention that they zip through the mopping so fast with minimal effort to actually mop off the dirt/change dirty water, etc. He said to leave out the product that we wanted used next time so we did. The next time they came, they used our floor cleaning product (all of it, a new bottle completely emptied) and the floors looked great (although we're not sure why they needed to use the whole bottle). I immediately went upstairs to use our master bathroom and noticed the toilet didn't flush properly. So I flushed it again and watched as the water rose almost to the point of spilling over. We put Drano in but that didn't work. We tried plunging but that didn't work either. Finally, my husband ended up taking the entire toilet off the base and while I held it, he worked his hand through the piping to see what was blocking it. Out he pulled my small bottle of hand creme (!) (about the size of a toilet paper tube) that was wedged in the pipes. As of that morning, my hand creme bottle had been in the back of the middle drawer of our bathroom vanity. To say that we were shocked to find it in our toilet is a huge understatement. Despite how absolutely crazy (and vindictive on their part) this whole thing sounds, we do not feel that this was an accident. Of course, we have no proof and the manager simply could not believe anyone on his staff would do this. We went to the office in person and was basically met with blank stares. The manager assured us that the owner would call us to discuss, which he did not. And then a few days later, we were charged full price for that cleaning. Given our earlier experience with the flat-out denial of breaking the mirror even though my husband was a WITNESS and of course our recent experiences with them, I would warn everyone to stay away.

I've been using Molly Maid to clean my house monthly for more than 10 years. Generally, I've been very pleased with their service. The office staff is professional and responsive, and the cost is reasonable. Overall, the cleaning team is reliable, careful, and thorough. On a few occasions, they've missed a few spots here and there and once broke a small glass jar in my bathroom, but that kind of thing happens. Most of the team members do not speak English, which can make communication a challenge, but it's easy enough to call the office and they will relay any issues or special requests. Any time I've needed to make a schedule change, it has been accommodated. Overall, I'm very pleased with Molly Maid.

First off, they fit me in 2 days prior to the day the work needed to be completed!!!  Don came out and gave me a quote for next day service, the ladies arrived and did a marvelous job!  I was really in a bind and they came to my rescue, would I use them again?  ABSOLUTELY, in a heartbeat and plan to use them on a more consistent basis in the future.  I am impressed and grateful these folks came for assisting me in a tight spot, use this company with confidence!!!
Scope of work was general pre-move cleaning;  dusting, bathrooms, kitchen, floors, etc.  All done IMPECCABLY!!!!

We have two homes, one in Chapel Hill and one in Wilmington.  We use Molly Maid in both cities.  We have a home that is about 2200 square feet.  They don’t do any cleaning of closets.  Two people usually come out every time.  They usually have the same people come out which is one of the things that is good about them.  The same people have been coming to my house for over a year.  Their responsiveness has always been great.  We are both out of the house and not home until seven and so it doesn’t really matter when they come.  The company itself is fantastic.  Every time I call the office, they are extremely professional.  The cleaning is done really perfect and great.  We went with them in Wilmington when we bought our house there.

I found the Molly Maid price to be very reasonable. When I called to schedule a visit to get a quote, they were very responsive and got me in right away. And when I decided to hire them, they worked me in to their schedule within a couple of days. My problem is that there was a lack of attention to detail. For example, while cleaning the bathroom they would move things around and then put them in a different place. A small thing, but one that can be maddening when one accidentally puts conditioner in before shampoo. I also asked them to empty the kitchen garbage (as they did on their first visit). I reminded them twice to do this, but they failed to comply. Third strike and you're out in my book, so I discontinued my service with them.
I am particular and probably a little difficult as a client, but in this case, I didn't think my request was unreasonable. Everyone there seemed really nice, so I hate to post a negative review, but I depend on others' honesty, so wanted to provide the same in my review.

When they were cleaning the bathroom upstairs, they threw things down the stairs and busted some things at the bottom of the stairs. They were not nice to the people they worked with. They also left markings on the wood flooring when the moved the furniture. I would not trust them to do any work while I’m not home.

This was a second cleaning. The first one was thorough and they did a good job. This time they left detergent scum all over the containers on the master bath sink and the granite countertop and backsplash were not clean. The guest bath and entryway smelled like old mop water. In spite of verbal directions to the office, and written notes (which they said I should leave), they shut our senior cat out of the bathroom where his litter box is. I cannot tolerate disgusting goop left on countertops, nor nasty mop bucket smells, but to disregard my directions about our poor kitty was the last straw. Then when I called to tell them I did not want them to come back again, an answering service took the message, and no one attempted to call me back from the company. I guess they didn't care if they kept my business or not. (and the house is not that hard to clean & was picked up before they came)
