INVESTORS TITLE INSURANCE CO

I have several Title Insurances with them and I've never had any problems. But then, I've never had to file a claim either! As a company they are easy to work with. I am currently with them organizing a 1031 exchange. They are helping me trade a piece of property. They have done the Title work, but they are also holding all the proceeds of the property I sold in April and the property I'm buying and closing on June 20th. Cost varies depending on what you are getting. Title itself is around $500, I think. For doing a 1031 exchange I think it is going to cost me $750. My lawyer pays them directly and then bills me. I think it is also dependent on the price of the house you have. They have been very nice. I have done two other 1031 exchanges with them where I have had to interact with them personally. Usually with Title Insurance you don't necessarily interact with the people at the company, the lawyer does all that. With the 1031 exchange they actually contact me to do some paperwork and have some contact with me personally. They have been very nice and helpful, making sure I do everything according to the law so that I don't get to do tax referral of my gain.
