The training was fine. I had four visits. They trained my dog well. It is an outdoor facility. The gentleman who owns the place is the one that worked with me. He is great.

Working with Jeff was extremely helpful. I went to Jeff about a month after adopting an extremely skittish shelter dog who had been a stray. Although she was very affectionate at home, she was terrified of most of the human world. I could not walk her even on quiet neighborhood streets because she would either try to bolt or sit down and refuse to budge, and by the time I first went to Jeff, she had learned what trails in the forest near my house led to streets, and refused to walk there too. I was at a loss about how to walk her sufficiently and how to go about socializing her to decrease her fears. Jeff concluded that teaching me leash control was the key to helping us, that once I was confident I could control my dog and she understood that I was in charge and did not get to choose where she wanted to walk, she would relax. So Jeff trained me to walk my dog and how to control her in public. Our first session was primarily about walking, and the last of our four sessions we met outside Weaver Street Market so Jeff could show me how to introduce my dog to busy public places and work on desensitizing her to Scary Things like shopping carts and traffic. In our other two sessions, we worked on more traditional obedience training (sit, stay, recall, etc.). Jeff taught me the skills I needed to walk my dog anywhere and I have since been able to gradually but steadily introduce her to new situations. The more new situations she experiences, the calmer she becomes in other new situations, and I am now confident that over time most of her fears will recede. I am grateful to Jeff for his help and can't imagine what things would be like by now if I hadn't gone to him and my dog's fears had continued to worsen.

Jeff Napoli did an amazing job with helping use to train our dog (more so teaching us how to train our dog)! I like that he equips his customers with the skills to train their dog for years to come and not just prolong sessions to make money. He was very professional and believes in being firm but loving when training your dog which my husband and I liked. His place of business is ideal b/c it has a lot of distractions that can be used to help assess and train dogs to ignore distractions. Our dog was a 1 year old Rottweiler that we got from a local shelter in 7/2013. She has come such a long way compared to where she was. We can take her out to restaurants and the park and not worry so much about how she will behave, and even if she does we have the tools/skills to use to train her. If you are looking for a dog trainer then 'Good Dog' is the way to go b/c you won't be disappointed!

Jeff was wonderful and I am very happy with the results! My dog is now walking calmly next to me side with no pulling. He is an extremely nice guy with a wide area of expertise in training dogs and he was terrific with her. I would highly recommend him!

Jeff was easy to work with and kind to my dog. He figured out my dog responds best to praise, not treats or toys. He was very patient with her and me.

I took my dog to his facility which is out in the country and lovely. The location was an added bonus.

He was always professional and generous with his ideas and suggestions
about fostering good behavior in our dog, and every training session was
very hands-on and useful. He clearly likes and understands dogs and
trains the owner as well as the animal. After four sessions with Jeff
she had learned to walk quietly on a leash; sit/stay; lie down and come
when called. Because he gave us the skills to continue her training,
our dog has continued to learn and progress. I recommend him to anyone I
know who has a dog that needs training. He's the perfect combination
of a real professional and a dog-lover as well.

My four year old dog is very stubborn and does not come when called or obey simple commands. She responded immediately to Jeff and after four visits (and following his at home training suggestions) I get commments about how well trained she is. I had four one hour seessions and came away with skills to use to continue her progress. I also have boarded her for several days there. She was well cared for. In fact she can't wait to get out of the car when we go there. Jeff was very flexible about drop off and pick up times as well as scheduling mutually convenient training times. I highly recommend him.

They do a great job and are very attentive to the dogs. They also do a good job training and playing with them.

Initially Jeff recommended a home visit because we were having some specific issues with how our puppy was interacting with our kids. Jeff spent an hour at our home, witnessed the interactions and quickly identified some strategies for easing the issue. He also gave us tips on some basic manners (things we had not been taught before) and then took us around the block with the dog to work on leash manners. We were very pleased with the hour we spent with Jeff and signed on for a 4 week (4 hours of training) course. His training was one-on-one (not a chaotic class full of puppies) so it was custom tailored to our dog and it was at his home which offered various settings for the training. Jeff is very professional and his training methods are gentle but effective. Our previous dane worked with a trainer that we felt was too harsh, especially for such a sensitive breed - which is why we turned to Jeff to help us with our new puppy. The puppy is 6 months now (over 80 lbs) and is great on the leash (our 7 year old is able to walk her), responds to sit, come, down and stay (we're still working on building up the time she's able to "stay") and it was all done without any punishment or harsh corrections. I would not hesitate to recommend Jeff to others looking for a gentle but effective training method for their dog.
