It went very well. I left a message on Saturday on their voicemail. They called me on Monday and were able to give me an appointment that afternoon. Mike came at the scheduled time and completed the job in about an hour. He was very nice, professional, and had a great attitude. I will definitely use of these guys in the future. I highly recommend them!

They were so efficient and pleasant; a pleasure to have around.  They did numerous jobs over the span of a couple days.  The most challenging was the installation of overhead light fixtures in the living and dining rooms, where there had previously been fixtures but that had been removed many years previously due to outdated/unsafe 1930s/40s-era wiring.   They had to fish lines through and above old plaster and did a great job of minimizing the number of holes and putting them in inconspicuous places (e.g, our front hall closet) so that there were very few spots that needed to be patched.  Mike gave me good advice about placement of sconces (I wanted them over the fireplace, but the installation would have been extremely expensive because of the chimney and I decided not to do it).  They also took care to protect floors and cleaned up thoroughly before they left.  They even alerted us to the failing plaster in the dining room ceiling and took a picture from inside so that we could get a contractor out to deal with it before the ceiling caved in.   We spent quite a bit of money, but they did a lot of work and did it efficiently; the prices were very fair and were felt that it was a good value.  Lisa manages the office/business end of things and is extremely professional, smart, and knowledgable.  We were very happy with the work and highly recommend them.

From the first call to finished product, Lisa and Mike were excellent. Lisa returned my call within a few hours at which time I discussed what needed to be done. An appraisal date/time was scheduled. Mike arrived on time and provided us with a thorough assessment with potential options. He was professional, personable and very patient with the multiple questions asked of him by me and my wife. In addition to person to person responses, Mike and Lisa responded very timely to a few emails in a timely fashion.
The work requested was done on time and within the estimate. An additional request to fix a kitchen ceiling fixture was also completed which came about in between the initial schedule for the flood lights (motion detector and switch) and the date of service. I plan to have Mike return in the near future to replace a few additional fixtures.
From the first call to the completion of the work, Mike and Lisa were excellent. I strongly recommend CreativElectric for residential electrical needs. Professional, extremely competent and great customer service at a fair price. A winner!!

First, Creative Electric is incredibly responsive. They are simply great human beings to deal with. I called Creative Electric after a lot of hassle with installers from the store where I bought a double oven. [Back story, short version-- After an initial visit from the installers, where the new oven was brought into the kitchen and the old one removed, we were looking at spending another week and a half (in addition to the month that we had already been waiting for the installation), waiting for the installers to return and finish the job. (The original installation date was a week before Thanksgiving.) Also, we have 4 preteen/teen kids who have to be away for Christmas, so our celebration has to happen mid-December. We were planning on having the ability to cook some things.]
With 4 kids, 3 pets, and the hulking presence of a double oven in the middle of our kitchen, things were a mess, and our impending holiday celebration was just 3 days away and in jeopardy. Enter Creative Electric.
I had a major scheduling crisis when there was a cancellation on the installer's calendar for the next morning! Creative Electric was scheduled to come later that day (super fast in response to my earlier call, but too late for this latest development)! 
I called Creative Electric and asked if there was anything they could do. Lisa kindly explained that she wished she could help, but they were booked for a 10-hour job today (the only day that the work could be done and still meet the install date.) Unsurprising, right? You can't expect to call and ask someone to come out to your house that day and change the electrical line...
But, wait! Later that day, Lisa got back to me. A job had finished earlier than expected. They could be out in an hour. 
And they did. They came. They fixed. They were awesome. They even made smart observations in anticipating what was needed for the install (which they didn't have to do) and addressed those issues preemptively.
In the days of horrific customer service, and lowering of expectations, Creative Electric is a breath of fresh air with their kindness, competence, and absolute humanity.
Don't hesitate to use them. You won't regret it.

This was one of the best renovation
experiences ever. This is a small company of 3, owned by Lisa and Mike, and
includes Cornell, who fits the culture and competency so well. As the name
implies, Creative Electric is really a CREATIVE, continuously thinking,
problems-solving, cutting edge, well integrated, responsive, HIGHLY
communicative [RARE!!!!], low key, highly conscientious, professional, and
fun-to-interact with team. After the first interaction by phone to connect,
most subsequent interactions were via email, often received late at night, to
insure expediency the next day. It was so very easy to communicate, to plan, share
ideas and troubleshoot. Here is another area where Mike really excels: when you
have an idea, which cannot be done or would not provide the right effect, Mike
cogitates and comes up with a great solution, AND explains all the ?whys and
wherefores?.  This was particularly
evident when it came to inputting new recessed cans and the issues that can
arise due to vaulted ceilings, such as strobing effects.  He also came up with the ?canopy-swap? to
enable us to use some lights we wanted.  When
we had a new tankless water heater installed by a great plumbing group, he
happened to be there the same day and without any discussion, stepped in to
facilitate that process by installing the electrical needs.  He is always thinking about your project and
how it could be done better. Mike is also in ?survey mode? and if he sees
something, he either takes care or informs as to its status. He is also always
considerate of your budget and provides options in different price categories.
As indicated, this was part of a larger
renovation project, involving other companies and people. There was great
coordination, respect and cooperation evident to make it all go as smoothly as
possible.
We are making a list to have Mike and his team return to do some more work and we
would always call them for any electrical need that might arise.

After an appliance repair technician inspected my clothes dryer and informed me that the issue was electrical and not with the appliance, I immediately called Creative Electric -  I have had repeated great experiences with them since I purchased my home in 2010.   I left a message about the non-functioning outlet and  Lisa returned my call within 15 minutes to let me know they had an electrician in the area who was between appointments and available to come right away.  How fabulous!  
The electrician, Cornell, was super-friendly and did not even my mind my dogs nosing around while he worked.  After he fixed the issue with the wire, he noticed the outlet was loose.  He explained in clear and easy-to-understand terms that this was not an immediate safety issue but should be replaced and why.  Since he had time before his next appointment he offered to do the replacement if I wanted, which saved me money on additional labor in the future. Although he did not have the needed part on hand, he went to a local hardware store and returned to make the repair.  He even hooked my clothes dryer vent back up, which is no easy feat! The whole process was quick and smooth, Cornell was so polite, friendly and helpful.  I always call Creative Electric for all my electrical needs (light replacements, ceiling fan installation and wiring issues to name a few). I highly recommend you do the same!

The owner and his coworker responded quickly to our call.  After completing the work, his wife, who does the scheduling, permits, etc., made sure we got the necessary inspection quickly.  The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, honest, helpful, and professional. We are glad to have found the company and definitely will call on them in the future.

Excellent work!  Mike and another electrician from the company spent 10 hours here - other than a short break for lunch they worked continuously to resolve some of the electrical mysteries of this 50+ year old house. We were impressed with their expertise and professionalism.
