Mike was comfortable in a fairly chaotic environment with my 3 friendly, active, and curious dogs sniffing and investigating everything he did. Mike and I discussed the problems I was having with electrical outlets, smoke detectors, and dimmers. He patiently went through each item with me, talked with me about options, and fixed many of the problems right on the spot. He was able to solve a problem that had persisted for years, and that another electrician had looked at, and said there was nothing wrong. Mike has very high standards for his work, and he makes sure that he performs every job, no matter how small, in a manner that meets those high standards. Mike did a superior job.

Mike was a complete pro and easy to work with. I was in the crawl space to feed wire to the outside. When we couldn't go through existing conduit because it was full, he quickly attached new conduit and fed to the main panel. He had to move several existing breakers to get the new breakers to fit.

I am doing a kitchen remodel and needed to have someone come and install pendants and move a kitchen chandelier. I found Creative Electric on Angie's list and called to get estimates for the work. Mike came the next day to give estimates for the job. He showed up on time and emailed me a detailed estimate of the work that I needed. It was several weeks before I needed the work done, and when I called Mike he was very responsive and put me on the schedule for the time I needed him to complete the work. He showed up on time and did an excellent job. He was very neat and professional. He left only small patches in the ceiling, which I knew going in that it was going to happen. I have gotten estimates and worked with several other contractors on this job and they are not aways on time, or neat, but Mike certainly is both. I would use him again, and recommend him to anyone who needs some electrical work done.

Mike, and his wife Lisa, are a highly professional and polite team. Lisa runs the office and answered the phone as soon as I called. She was able to have Mike come over the very next morning - which considering this is just a few days before Thanksgiving I found remarkable. Mike arrived bang on time and was able to address all my issues in a timely and efficient manner. He determined that my issues could be resolved with the replacement of some switches and the removal of some unnecessary dimmers. He also made a friend of my dog, as she investigated him at work. Mike will be returning in the near future to address attaching a couple of new light fixtures. Mike explained what he was doing every step of the way in detail and cleaned up very tidily after he was finished.

Mike San Filippo, co-owner (with his wife) of Creative Electric, responded to our phone message quickly. He made an appointment for the next day to do an assessment of the needs on this job. He arrived exactly on time and gave the assessment full attention and patience. Within 36 hours, we had an estimate in our email as promised. We then called the company to tell them we would use THEIR service and on that call, his wife set the work date for 3 or 4 weeks hence after asking us if such a delay would be ok, since, at the time, they were in the middle of a very large job with a general contractor. As typical for us, we had already taken months to get around to seeing to the fixture, so to us, what were 3 more weeks??!...just a little more time to garner some money to pay for the work! Mike arrived exactly on time for the work date. He immediatly commenced and continued steadily with his work - from 8 AM to 3:45 PM - without stopping, until the job was complete. The time accorded his work in the contract was superseded in actuality by about 15 minutes but he charged by his contract and NOT for the extra 15 minutes. (Earlier, he had stated he would prorate the charge if it turned out to be fewer hours than his estimate). At one point, we offered him lunch but he stated he had his in his truck but wasn't yet hungry. He talked with us just enough to establish that he is a really nice and friendly person but he was obviously conscientious about his work and time. The job was done to great satisfaction and according to how he previously described it would be done. No new or old holes in wall or ceiling were left unanswered and the kitchen looked great when he finished. He cleaned up everything tidily afterwards. He handed us the bill, we paid, and then he stayed to chat for several minutes. I had told him that I would go up into the crouching-posture-worthy attic and move a path thru the 17 inches of fluffy insulation prior to his arrival so that he wouldn't have to do that and that I would put it back in place after he had finished. That is what was done. Regardless, he did spend a bit of time in the attic moving wires and manipulating stuff he couldn't do downstairs. A typical 2010 August day, it was hot and stuffy in the attic but when we extended our sympathy that he had to work there, he stated that he was quite used to such working conditions and it would be fine. We had been very surprised when he estimated that the job would take so long and consequently, cost so much, but watching Mike work, we realized that he had made an extremely accurate assessment. He did not drag his feet at any time while working. We had thought it expensive but realized that, too, was accurate and within the range of the work of other electricians in the area. We would definitely advise others to employ Creative Electric and we will certainly call them when we have more electrical work.

Their quote was a little high. I think he was a really nice guy and he was very efficient. He responded quickly to my request. We didn't go with them just because we had a lower quote from somebody else through a friend's recommendation.

I could not be more pleased. Everything was done well and on time and Mike advised me on several other projects that I'll have done in the months ahead. He is very neat, cleans up after himself and has a good sense of humor (always a plus!) I'm new to the area and was somewhat concerned about finding competent professionals to update my 30+ year-old house. If everyone I hire is as capable as Mike, I won't have any worries...
