Clutter Free

Great! Cary is a true pro. She was flexible in scheduling our work times for when I was available. (I work a night shift so she came to my home in the evenings.) From the minute she walked into my kitchen for our first decluttering session, she jumped right into beginning the task at hand. She tackled our huge project and took it one step at a time. When I felt overwhelmed, she calmly pushed ahead and directed me to work on the subtask she wanted me to complete. Cary offered continual guidance and encouragement to keep me on task. She clearly enjoys her work and the results show that. After five four-hour sessions where Cary worked non-stop, my house is now clutterfree! Hiring Clutter Free was well worth the investment and I feel so much better about my home now!

Cary was amazing. I had not cleaned out closets in 20 years. I gave 15 large bags to charity, which Cary delivered. I have an empty 12 foot closet ready for new things! I found clothes I had misplaced, so I now have a new wardrobe of my own own clothes. Cary handled the emotional side of throwing things out. Her approach was to take everything out and only put back what you wanted/needed. Excellent seervice. I asked for more time but she is booked, so get on her list as soon as possible.

It went great! Much accomplished and made me hopeful to continue with the changes . Great personal  follow up too - I continue to hear from her with encouragement.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE HER!! She challenged me appropriately on things using a creative view so that I could make my own decisions. She gave me useful techniques to continue the process on my own. I thought she was amazing and her personality is perfect for what she does. She's quick, thorough and truly does an incredible job. I have recommended her to all my friends. The time I now spend looking for things is cut in half!! The efficiency is probably the best thing! She also takes EVERYTHING to goodwill and brings you back the receipt so you can have a tax deduction!

Cary is fabulous and goes above and beyond in every respect. Don't shy away because of what I paid - it was a huge job and I was overwhelmed after accumulating items from multiple family members. Cary is extremely organized herself and develops a strategy and keeps the client involved throughout.  She is positive yet assertive in not only deciding what hold onto but also how to organize items based on their purpose and use and hauling mountains of items away to donate, and returning with a tax receipt. She works with the client in developing a process moving forward for each room and need. It was very well worth the price and saved me months and probably years of time and agony. I cannot say enough good things about working with Cary!

I went from overwhelmed and unmotivated to empowered and inspired after my very first visit with Cary.  I was really upset with myself for not managing to de-clutter my belongings before moving into my new home and the unpacked boxes just sat there in my spare room which I intended to turn into a guest/home office space many months ago. Well, after being in my new location for over eight months, I was very anxious to make some progress with clearing out the many boxes of stuff before the end of the year and it was just not happening on my own, so I decided I really needed some professional help. I am so very glad I found Cary an Angie's list!  Cary is truly someone who will partner with you to make some real and lasting progress in de-cluttering your life.  Over the eight hour period of time we spent together (spread over two days), we not only managed to get rid of the intimidating amount of clutter in my guest room, but I was also able to fully tame my master bedroom closet.

What a joy it is to have a place for everything and everything in its place!  

And, I say we, because Cary was an integral part of the process by feeding me boxes (some of them quite heavy), taking things down to trash and recycle, and also taking all of the donated items away (no stress for me in having to haul things away).

She came in to our home like a force. Very professional and disciplined. We bougth 12 hrs at once for a discount and to committ to the decluttering process. She helped us get rid of almost half our stuff we didn't need. She brings boxes and bags and takes the stuff right to donation and brings back receipts. Even with all that we are only 1/2 done and will purchase another 12 hrs at once. She is truly amazing for people who are too busy to spend all day devising the perfect system. She can figure out what works for you and what doesn't. I highly recommed  her services.

It went fabulously!  Cary listens to what you want, asks good questions to truly UNDERSTAND both the spoken and unspoken needs or desires and then reminds you what you said you wanted when you start to waver a little bit over something. (Well maybe it was just me who needed to be reminded when I said I wanted to donate something and then hemmed and hawed over it....but she did so in a gentle way that I found very effective in keeping me focussed on the desired outcome).  She's attentive, prompt and has a great sense of humor.  Cary is non-judgmental and understands that different people have different priorities and puts her emphasis on helping you make your space fit YOUR life.  
I have zero hesitation in recommending Cary, and I'll hire her again in a heartbeat when I find a condo to buy and move again to a permanent place.

I am thrilled with the service Cary gave me. She was extremely prompt, effective in helping me sort through things I've been indecisive about letting go of, thorough, and pleasant to work with. It was money extremely well spent and I truly wish I had given in to my thoughts of hiring someone to help me with this type thing 20 years ago instead of feeling like I always had to do everything myself.  The reason I put the price as less than excellent is because I have no other similar experience with which to compare this.

She came to my house for 2 hours and helped me to declutter multiple times. One day we worked on my walk-in closet, which I couldn't even walk into before her help. It is so wonderful now. Cary not only helps you to declutter, she asks questions to get to know you in order to help you figure out what the function of a room should be. For instance, my dining room is now a games playing, puzzle making room.

Cary did a fantastic job organizing my kitchen.  This is the third time I have used Clutter free, first for my home office, and a second time for my son's bedroom.  She is so worth every penny - she works very hard and efficiently while she is here, and give you a "to do" list of things to work on after she leaves.  Our kitchen is now so much easier to keep clean, and it stays neat on it's own.

Cary works in a very non-judgemental way.  She is very gifted in making your house run smoother, as she is a mother of 5  herself.  

We will continue to use Cary in the future - she is the best home organizer out there!

She came several times for the project.  Cary was awesome!  She was very easy to work with. She keeps on task and worked the whole time that she was here. There was no wasted time.  The experience turned out very well. We will be hiring her again for an additional project.

It went very well.  She spent time discussing my objectives and helping create a plan of attack.  We then spent time doing some of the presort needed before being able to get things back where they should belong.  Since we were only going to be spending a couple of hours, after getting things going she spent time reviewing what I would need to do after the presort.  She gave me all the necessary ideas needed to get things moving.  If I need more help she said she would be pleased to come back.  She has since emailed to check how the project was coming along.  I loved her help and follow up and would definitely recommend her service to others. 

My experience overall went excellently. She was very friendly and professional. She did a great job with the work provided. She packed up all my things, loaded them and unpacked all my things into my new home. The pricing is very reasonable. I would highly Carrie to others.

I had moved from a larger house I had lived in for almost 30 years a few years ago and, at that time, had to downsize significantly.  Nevertheless, I still ended up with boxes of "stuff" I didn't know exactly what to do with.  I didn't want to throw it out, so it all ended up in the office.  After reading the reviews, and especially Cary's thoughtful response to one particular review, I decided to hire her to help me get that office finally cleaned out so I could actually use it.
She arrived right on time and we went immediately to work.  She is very systematic and I found it extremely helpful to talk through why or why not to keep something.  I had tried to do this myself, but just kept going around in circles, mentally speaking.  Having someone else to bounce the logic off  was key for me.  One of the things she said that will continue to help me in this regard were, "If you lost this, would you buy it again?"   I realized that the answer many times was "no", but I nevertheless hung onto the object because it had been a gift or because I felt that to get rid of it would be "wasteful."  However, it helped me to realize that I was going to be donating all these items to someone else who could actually use them made me realize that they wouldn't be wasted.
Cary also made things so easy by taking care of bringing the items to donate and doing a lot of the physical work.  
She charges $60 an hour and, although the final cost seemed on the high side to me, since I'm just a public school teacher, it was TOTALLY worth it!!  I love my office now!  
In a few months, I plan on hiring her again to help me tackle the GARAGE!!!
