Clark Poe Construction

He is extremely disorganized. However, I feel his lead carpenter makes things happen. I felt he was not honest, or organized and didn't have good communication skills with his crew. After speaking with some of his former employees, they informed me of multiple clients that wouldn't have him back on their property. His lead carpenter is good. Great crew. The quality of the construction was good. It was just the entire process to get to that point. I am a detailed oriented person and value good, clear communication. I feel he didn't even read the material or communicate with his crew. The general consensus on many of his clients is that he lacks the standard of ethics as seen in many other contractors. I even paid for something in the bid that wasn't done correctly, he said it would take a day and a half, I brought in another contractor that had it done in a few hours.

OUr remodel was 3 years ago and I still call him whenever I have a maintenance issue, large or small.  There are many good contractors in Chapel Hill but I would hire Clark over others for the follow up.  HIs crew is also very pleasant to be around.  We have two young girls and that was important to me.  I never had to worry when they were here and I wasn't.  I trust them with a key to my house and our security alarm code.   Clark really cares about you.  THe man was a social worker before he went into building 20 years ago!

Everything went great, and they even took care of the relatively uninformed Durham Building Inspectors.
