Excellent outcome!
When we purchased the home, the existing palette of colors was a challenge for us--including teal-colored kitchen counters. The kitchen and dining area now look beautiful and pulled-together. Living room looks brighter and more inviting. There is more cheer and light and warmth throughout the house, reflecting our preferences.
This was our first experience with a color consultant. We had always just moved into places with neutral-colored walls and I lacked the confidence to make changes. With Barbara Clare's expertise we did a great job. And her cost is very reasonable: if you are going to hire a painter, spend a little more up front on color consultation and get things right. I am so happy that we chose Chroma7 and had our home transformed!

We wanted to paint our house and were looking for someone to help us to choose colors. We looked around the web and found quite a few and quot;color consultantsand quot;. Many of those were part of some national franchises. Barbara was an independent consultant wit most impressive resume. WE emailed her to find out how she worked. We heard back from her promptly. We spoke to her on phone, liked what she told us about her methodology and approach and we hired her to help us pick the colors.
Barbara was just great. We loved her. She worked with us very well. She went over various themes we could select and based on our feed back narrowed those down to two/three and ultimately helped us make a choice for the overall color tone for our house. She then did this for each living space individually and correlated the choices with each other so that the overall effect is consistent. She listened to our preferences, enhanced/tweaked those where necessary and accommodated those in all the selections. She was candid with her opinions. When she felt things did not match or clashed, she said that without being coy. I suppose it was important for her to tell us how she saw things honestly and we appreciated that.
She worked with Benjamin Moore palette for us. She prepared a very nice worksheet for our painter to work with ( BTW she also recommended us a fantastic painter, Corey Smith).
Barbara ordered the color cards for all our chosen colors so we have those in case we need to match colors in the future.
Barbara is a very nice person. Very kind, personable and very likable. She is also professional. Always on time and always respectful
I am glad we get color consultation help to choose house colors. The result is more than worth the price and I am further glad that we hired Barbara.
Enthusiastically and very strongly recommended.
