I really had a fine experience, they did the job and fixed some sprinkler heads, and the whole thing had to be adjusted so that it ran like it should be. I've had no problems with this company and I will use them again now that they know about the sprinkler system.

We had our former landscaping company open and close our irrigation system in the past, but I was not happy with the job they did. I had used Irrigation Solutions before and decided to call them back. Several of the heads needed to be adjusted for better efficiency, which was done with no problem. One head broke as it was being adjusted, but it was due to a tree root that had put pressure on the head. We had known about the tree problem, so I was not surprised. The head was replaced for us, which required some digging because of the position of the root.

The problems that occurred with the company s service included: 1. Not being prepared (a. Not having clothing/equipment to retrieve the separated intake line b. Not having 1-1/2 plastic pipe and fittings) 2. Incompetence (a. Damaging the installation by putting too much force on the pump b. Wasting more than an hour trying to fix a leak that was wrongly associated with a metal drain plug.) When I spoke to Tim to arrange the service, we concluded that the intake line problem was caused by the separation of an underwater joint. I advised him that the joint was 2-3 feet below the surface. When Zach arrived, he was not prepared to enter the water to retrieve the pipe. He spent between 15 and 30 minutes searching for equipment and fishing for the line from our dock. After the line was retrieved, Zach stated that he needed to go to a store to get 1-1/2 fittings (since these were unusual and he never carries them). He and his helper were gone for more than an hour. In the process of installing the fitting, the pump was accidentally leaned on with substantial force causing the plastic pipe/pump threaded joint to leak. During the leak fixing fiasco, Zach determined that the metal drain plug was also leaking and that part of the pump needed replacement. This diagnosis took the better part of an hour. Subsequently, the company pursued a quote to replace the part of the pump that failed and also a quote to replace the entire pump. Several days after the company botched the job, I hired another company to fix the installation. Not surprisingly they had 1-1/2 pipe parts on their truck. The workers indicated that these are standard parts that they always carry. They also determined that the metal drain plug was not leaking. They fixed the damaged installation and the plastic pipe/pump leak. Irrigation Solutions' workers arrived around 10:45 AM and left shortly after 1 PM. Based on the lack of preparation, the trip to the store and the time wasted trying to diagnose and fix the drain plug leak, I offered to pay for 1 hour. The response from the company was that the charges were correct. That was when I faxed the June 11 request to discuss the matter with Tim personally. To date, I have not received a call back. Despite the damage done to my installation by the company's workers and the subsequent cost to fix that damage, I sent the company a check for $80 to cover the work to reattach the intake line.

Tim always answered my calls right away, or got back to me within a day. He was prompt, polite and professional. He really seems to know his stuff. He works with components that he is confident will perform well on a long term basis. We were lucky to catch him before the busy season, so our system was installed within a week of our consultation. His crew had the system installed and operating by the end of the day. The dirt couldn't all be put back in place on day 1 because they had to wait on inspection. By day 2 everything was in order. His crew was very efficient and tidy. They swept up and hosed down everything before they left.
