The team showed up right on time and got to work! They were very professional and checked in with me along the way about work completed and if any changes needed to be made (length of pendants, etc). They cleaned up before leaving and even helped pile the boxes in the garage. Pricing was fair as well. I would definitely hire them again.

Had lights installed in kitchen ceiling. They arrived right on time, jumped right to job, asked questions and gave welcomed advise, work completed excellantly, and cleaned up after themselves, very pleasant experience, will definitely use again, highly recommend!!!

The whole process was very organized and completed as expected. Our contact was able to provide an estimate based on the description that I provided and a picture of the stairs. The price quoted was what we were charged and we got everything that we were expecting. The bulkhead lighting on the fronts of the stairs was done with skill. We've already received complements on the quality of the work from neighbors. The lighting works exactly as expected with the lights coming on at dusk and turning off in the morning. This lighting should help with safety for my family and for visitors to our house in the evenings and early morning.

I met Steve Roy for the first time under desperate circumstances. I had lost AC, and the AC repairman diagnosed the problem to be insufficient voltage. I called Roy Electric based on Angie's list. Steve came immediately and found that the circuit breaker and panel had corroded so badly that it practically fell off. He brought a new breaker and went to plug it into a new position. As he pushed it into place, the circuit breakers started arcing. The panel was too deteriorated to use. This would mean that I would have to go without AC for several days. Steve had a creative solution. He wired up the breaker for the stove to the house, and was able to seat the new breaker for the AC. This gave me the ability to run the lights and AC, but no stove. It was a terrific work around. Steve also immediately submitted a permit request on my behalf. On Tuesday everything was set. The Steve and his helper showed up on time, and started working. They had completed the vast majority of the work before Duke arrived to shut down the power. I watch all of the repairmen work, and I think Steve is really really good. He is a young guy, but with lots and lots of experience. The speed with which he wired up the changes was amazing. The job was an expensive job, but I am glad to pay a bit more to have someone that is very skilled doing the work. Thanks, Steve!

After some initial issues, the owner made it good. Since all projects do not go as planned, maybe the real test is how the issue is resolved. Based on this, I would recommend the Roy.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with Roy Electric. First of all, the owner never mentioned he was sending two young and inexperienced workers to do recessed lighting in my living room. Of course, I’m trusting them assuming they do know what they are doing if the owner trusts them to complete the job. They ended up cutting 3 holes in my ceiling that were not needed and going through my flooring upstairs damaging my carpet! I’m a pretty understanding person and get that people make mistakes. Once the owner, Steve, arrived it was obvious they had NO idea what they were doing and the mistake should have never been made in what was a pretty common and easy project to undertake. What bothered me the most was the fact that Steve NEVER ONCE apologized for the mistake that had been made, or just say I’m so sorry this happened. He did complete the recessed lights but now I can’t find anyone to patch just the ugly holes in my ceiling without paying for patching and repainting the entire downstairs ceiling. Which, of course, is a much more expensive project to undertake which I never wanted nor needed to do. He actually seemed perturbed and rude about the whole thing and wanted to fix it and get out. I will never use him again and I might have given them another chance (or resisted the urge to write a review) if he had just been nice.

Extremely well! When a circuit breaker in the panel burned out, Steve responded within hours of my call. He patiently explained the issues with the older panel and recommended replacing it. I agreed that a new panel was needed. He quoted his fee for replacing the panel and we set a date. On that date, Hugo arrived right on schedule and set to work replacing old with new. He worked efficiently and most professionally. When he finished, the panel was professionally installed, labeled and functioning. The work area was spotless. I will happily use and refer Roy Electric's services again.

It was great. Steve Roy, the owner, answered my call the first time and was very professional. He was able to put us on his schedule next day. (I think there may have been a cancelation. So I was lucky). Even still he was able to accommodate our schedule. He also was able to confirm via text and was very responsive via text. The technician, Hugo, came out to our home and was very professional in his manner as well as his workmanship. He was also very responsive in letting me know that he was on the way about 30 minutes for our scheduled time. He arrived when he said he would, did a great job on the floor outlet and also made other recommendations for a circuit for a garage refrigerator. I would highly recommend using Roy Electric for any electrical needs you may have.

He arrived on time with his crew and stayed the whole time. (no drop off and return) He gave advice on best configurations and was flexible in where we wanted the panel and outlets. overall great job.
