Amazing quality and workmanship. This is a real artist at work. He picked up the furniture, called us with updates, made perfect suggestions, and brought everything back. Set it up just the way we wanted it in the room, including adjustments.

I took a recommendation from a coworker to use Rosarios Restorations.  Rosarios Restorations told me that, due to their slow season (only 1 other job), they could have my furniture set fully repaired and refinished in early January.  However, they wanted to take it a week before Xmas to ensure they had it on the floor.  This was a very important bedroom set that had been my mother's from the 1950's. We set a date for me to pick out the color of the furniture, but he wasn't ready so we had to delay this two days. In January, the first 3 deadlines were pushed out with various excuses and I was given a lot of excuses of why I couldn't come to view the furniture in progress. A 4th date was set with a delivery time. I had extra help arrive that morning to move the furniture and had rescheduled some painters to come after the furniture to repair the walls from where the furniture had scraped. I had alerted Rosarios Restorations to both the additional help that would arrive and the change in my painting appointment after the 3rd delivery date was missed.  The 4th date arrived and I began calling Rosarios Restorations after they were 30 minutes late.  An hour after the delivery time, Rosarios Restorations finally called me back to say they weren't done with the furniture but wouldn't commit to having it completed by the next week. There was no apology, but lots of excuses. In fact, the owner seemed annoyed that I was upset. I reminded him that this was the bedroom furniture I was currently using and it was becoming a huge inconvenience.  On Tuesday, I stopped by the shop unannounced to see the progress and was surprised to see that they were at an offsite job all week. When I reached the owner by phone, he became enraged, yelled at me about how he can't make money off just my one job, and told me I couldn't see my furniture. He did call back a few hours later and apologized for yelling, but was still abrasive. I told him I thought it would be best for me just to take my furniture, but he acted like a bully and said he would still make me pay the amount in full. I was so nervous about getting my furniture back, due to his unpredictable behavior, my brother came with me to a meeting that week where we did see the furniture had been stripped and sanded. He signed a document agreeing to finish the furniture by the upcoming Saturday, refused to refund my money if he didn't make the deadline, and apologized further for yelling at me earlier that day. He promised to repair all of the little problems, nicks and cracks. He communicated with me every day after the yelling incident and I was encouraged the work would be done to the high quality he promised.  On delivery day, the fumes were so bad from him finishing up last minute that I had to keep the windows open (in Winter) in that room for 4 days to air it  out. Once I was able to go in & really inspect the furniture, I realized just how terrible the job was. He pointed out on delivery day where he forgot to paint certain areas and said he could come back if I wanted. But, I really didn't want him working on it anymore, so I just told him I would let him know. Now that I have inspected it further, it is obvious to see where several places are cracked, his fingerprints are all over places where he touched it with the wet paint, and the "repaired" areas look like he just stuck a bunch of caulk to fill the divots. There was no effort to blend the colors and the furniture doesn't match.  Some painted areas look like they just have streaks of spray paint across them.  He completely neglected replacing a felt barrier where the headboard sits on the small dressers, but told me what I should do to repair it.  Yes, after I paid in time and money to have my furnitured repaired and restored, I ended up restoring parts of it myself.  It was embarrassing when additional family members and friends came by to see the furniture.  They didn?t hold back their comments regarding the poor quality.  In addition, Rosarios Restorations dented and scraped my newly painted walls. I really wanted a nice story to go along with having this furniture refinished and am so disappointed in the quality and lack of customer service. I've never refinished a piece of furniture, but I think I could have done a better job. It is truly that sloppy looking.  I am sad to say that I did pay them the full amount that was quoted.  The owner mentioned on delivery day, in the middle of one of his long stories, that he carries a concealed weapon with him at all times.  This felt like another bullying tactic, so I just paid him to get him out of my life.  I?m now saving money to get it refinished again in the next few years.

Overall it went well - it was a bit expensive but good restorations are time consuming and therefore not cheap. Joe's price was a bit high but not as high as others in the area. We were very pleased with his work. You should consider that he is a 1 person operation and therefore takes time to get items completed but - at the same time - he gives the items personal attention and treats the items as if they are his own.

Overall it went very well. It was a good knack. He had to take our old original shelf and make a new shelf to match it. He is outgoing.
