The owner of the company stopped by in the morning to check out the job, then left.  The two guys who came and did the work were very polite and thorough.  They ran a 10 inch vacuum hose down into the basement and hooked it up to the main ducts, then turned on high powered vacuum.  So much debris was being sucked out that you could hear it passing through the big vacuum hose.  They went to each individual duct, removed the cover and pushed down agitator whips and blew air to help loosen whatever might be stuck against the walls of the ducts.  When they discovered a section of the ductwork appeared to be blocked (vacuum on one end wasn't causing any noticeable negative pressure on the other end), they ran a video camera into the duct and it was very clear on the screen that chunks of concrete and caved walls were causing a blockage.  (Not something they caused--pre-existing problem.)  They were very pleasant and professional.  Seemed to really care about doing a thorough job and were able to clearly identify what the problem was when they discovered there was one.  They're very good.  I couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job.   I highly recommend them.

PUr-Vent came as scheduled and cleaned our system out as promised. They provided a follow up report heavy on pictures proving that they had actually cleaned the entire system and not just a few feet into the floor grilles like other companies do. My allergies are already feeling better due to the lessening of dust in the house.

The service provided was performed professionally and at a high level of quality. They provided a full description of the procedures they used, as well as, third party technical information (EPA). Due to rain, the work had to be rescheduled. Mold was found in a section of the ductwork and the corrective action provided by PUR-VENT was appropriate. They suggested replacement of the section and to NOT clean that ductwork (this entailed a reduction in PUR-Vent scope of work). The company that implemented the corrective action was actually surprised that the duct clealning company was so straightforward with us. PUR-VENT also provided a written report of the work performed which included before/after pictures. Due to the quality of the work and the integrity of the personnel, we would recommend this company.
