BEWARE! We unfortunately hired Morrisville Heating and Air after a referral from our real estate agent when we purchased a home in Morrisville during the summer of 2018. The owner, Mike Frady, came out to our home and gave us a quote of $12,000 to replace both units. I was initially surprised at how quickly the quote came because I knew they were supposed to do a load calculation to determine how large the units should be and those take some time to complete. Frady replaced both units and kept them the same size, a 2.5 ton for the first floor and a 3 ton for the second floor. As soon as the units were put in I knew there was a problem. The second floor unit stayed on constantly and rarely ever reached the desired cooling temperature. I tried to reach Frady to discuss the problem but he didn’t respond until I emailed to tell him I was having someone replace the upstairs unit and he wouldn’t be paid the remaining $6,000. Frady argued that I didn’t know what I was talking about and the unit was fine. I spent the next 2 weeks proving the unit was not performing by emailing Frady data from the Trane WiFi thermostat he sold me. Frady then said they Trane WiFi thermostats were garbage and not reliable and I asked “why did you sell me garbage”?? And he responded that Trane makes him sell them. I ended up having to spend $450 dollars on hiring my own engineer to come in and do load calculations because I didn’t think Frady did them. I asked Frady to email me the load calculations he is required to do by law before an installation and he refused. My engineer told me that BOTH units were undersized for the space and gave me a detailed 45 page report. The first floor need a 3 ton unit and the second floor needed a 3.5 ton. I called Frady and gave him the facts, Frady never apologized and just asked me what I wanted. I had another company replace his first floor unit and left Frady’s unit in the yard for him to pick up. The company that installed the new unit said that Frady’s installation was sloppy, left a lot of trash behind under the crawl space and forgot to turn the gas to the unit back on. Frady has not agreed to replace the second floor unit. The second floor unit runs all the time, shows heavy condensation, and the county inspector said that the ducts are undersized for the unit that Frady installed. Frady is now no longer responding to my communications to replace the undersized unit. I will be filing complaints with the NC State Licensing Board, Morrisville County, BBB and taking whatever other legal action is necessary. The process has taken up a lot of my time and turned our new move into the area into a disaster.

It was not replaced exactly where it was; they had to move it. So it was a little bit more money because it was sitting on an abandoned underground oil tanker that had to be moved. The old air conditioner was from 1989. The house has been glorious; it has really been nice. The house has been perfect and it is a large, 2,400 square foot house. They did a phenomenal job. I talked to four different companies and everybody was telling me something different. Morrisville was the only one to come in and tell me what I needed, not just try to sell me something. Morrisville was not the least expensive, but was not the most expensive. His pricing was just a little bit lower than market. I have another house I want to do and I would use them without a problem.

The repairs went very smoothly. The contractor arrived early and completed the repairs much faster than estimated and at the cost that was quoted.  The contractor's diagnosis of the problem was accurate and the repairs solved the problem.

He fixed it with no difficulty. He even came out in bad weather. The secretary called me to let me know he was on his way. They came out about 3 hours after I called them. He got the repair done in about 20 minutes as it was a simple fix. The technician was professional and knew what he was doing.

We needed to replace our 20 year old gas heating system. We had worked with Morrisville Heating and Air Conditioning in Cary, NC, previously and called them for a quote for a new unit. The owner, Mike Frady, was to our home the same day and quoted a fair price. We had the new heat system installed within a few days. Mike took care of all permits and setting up for the town of Cary inspector to inspect the system. The installers also took care of some pipe issues we had.

The following week, we called again because the temperature on our 20 year old a/c unit was not cooling sufficiently. Mike was to our house shortly after our call. He checked the temperature and found a leak in the coil. He ordered a new coil and we had the installation that same week.

Mike knew we needed this work done fairly quickly as we had already sold our home and had to correct these issues due to a home inspector finding these problems. We appreciated his quick responses.

If you need HVAC work done, give them a call. They are professional, respectful, polite, competitive, and neat. The workers laid adhesive plastic over our carpet and they always removed their shoes upon entering the house. What is especially nice about working with this company is that you see the owner himself, whether to inspect, give an estimate, or to check on work in progress. Let me not forget the first point of contact when you call. Renee presents a very good first impression for the company. She is helpful, respectful, and always returns calls if necessary. Highly recommend this company!
