I needed an engineer’s seal on my deck plans to get the permit. Other engineers were either too busy or charged way too much. Kamal called within minutes after I made the inquiry through ANGI. He immediately understood the situation. He looked at the architectural drawings I sent him and contacted the contractor. He gave me a price that was reasonable. He went ahead and did what was necessary within a few hours and now my project can go forward. I wish more people would do business the way he did it.

I hired Mr. Kamal Essaid because he said he could conduct the structual assessment and his price was less than the other cost estimates. Let me start by saying Mr. Essaid was respectful throughout. I have a warped kitchen floor which started several months after installing a very heavy granite countertop slab. Over the years the depression in the floor has worsened and now has a depression and the hardwood flooring is starting to bow. Mr. Essaid used his laser tool and assess there is no warp in the floor. I explain the background and the facts of the floor and explain you can see and feel the floor is warped. He then acknowledges the warped floor. I asked him the cause and how to fix the issue. He says the defect is still within an acceptable measurement tolerance and the floor is structually sound; adequately supported by the floor joists. I told him I disagree with his assessment given the facts and the history and that the situation continues to worsen over time. He says there is nothing more he can do and does not recommend any work remedy. I had a capenter tell me it appears there are some support beams missing when they built the home which may have been adequate support for the original counter top, but may be unadequate for the large slab of granite place there. In conclusion, Mr. Essaid minimized the issue by trying to say there was no issue, when there was. I am out of state and dealt with Mr. Essaid exclusively by phone. My mother who is in her mid 80s was there with him explaining the issue from her perspective. It wasn't until I said that I was in the home last month and you can clearly see that it was warped. Iwas then that he finally acknowledged the defect. Im not sure of this, but It was almost as if he was trying to pull a fast one on a senior. In the end the problem still remains with no viable fix m and he remained with his "there was no problem." I will likely hire another engineer.

Very knowledgeable and efficient
