The crew arrived on time each day and did a good job. It is a small, cramped crawlspace that is difficult to work in. They did break a cable connection while working but offered to pay for TWC to come out to fix. Every time I had a concern, they addressed it right away. The crew was polite and very neat.

Our home was previously rented out before we moved in.  Unfortunately, the previous tenant had a water leak in the laundry room and did not inform the owner.  The end result was shortly after moving in our entire family starting getting sick.  We couldn't see the problem so sadly it took a little bit to pinpoint the problem.  It was black mold in the laundry room wall and under our house.  As a parent I was horrified because black mold is scary enough but one of little ones has lung issues.  The team from HHR was awesome!  When they heard we had little ones they came over within hours and got things rolling.  They were very neat, timely and took the time to do the job right.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.  THEY DO WHAT THEY PROMISE AND ALWAYS TELL YOU EVERYTHING UP FRONT. :-)

This was our second experience using HHR for water and mold damage remediation. This time it was the master bathroom. We were so extremely pleased with the work they did with the leak under our guest bathroom that we considered no one else when it came to the bigger problem with our master bathroom. Once again, they were top notch. Their assessment of the extent of the problem and the estimate to repair was right on the money. Very reasonable cost in my opinion. Especially considering how so many companies will take you to the bank when it comes to this type of problem. They completed the job on time and with excellent results again. Their communication throughout the project is absolutely professional. Hand down as good a "service" provider as any we have ever worked with. If you have any problems involving water or mold damage in the home, go straight to HHR!

These folks were life savers! After discovering a leak under an improperly installed toilet that had been going on for 7 years, we had a serious situation on our hands. Significant mold and water damage in the crawl space. We had any number of companies come in and inspect the damage and provide us with estimates. The diagnosis and estimates became outrageous! We were shocked at how much demolition some vendors wanted to do. From the minute HHR walked in we could tell they were a straight shooter. They ended up having the absolute best assessment of what the damage was and what it would take to remediate, and their estimate reflected it. While others were upselling us badly on the repair, HHR was accurate and honest. They completed the remediation and treatment for all water and mold damage and left everything in great shape for the construction crew to come in and start their repairs. They were on time, professional, and very courteous. Their office was very proactive throughout the entire project. Quite rare to find! We would highly recommend HHR for anything related to damages involving water and mold - one of the most difficult and delicate problems a homeowner can encounter. Do not call anyone else.

I called this company 3 times. All three times I was bracing myself for a major expense.  The first call was to give us a quote on some suspect mold/moisture in the crawl space of a town-home my parents were in the process of buying.  My parents' home inspector recommended we call HHR so we had them come out and review the crawl space.  After the review, they informed me there was nothing to be concerned about.  To my surprise the cost was $0.00!
The next call (a few months later) was for them to give me a quote on the work needed under our primary residence that I was planning on selling.  We had a washer leaking for a few months and I knew there was going to be some water damage and potential mold.  Once again, to my surprise, the news was good.  Some minor tasks were identified (most of which was not in the scope of work they performed) and they didn't feel any repairs were necessary unless the buyers? inspection proved otherwise.   For a second time, this company cost me $0.00!
The third call was for a house we made an offer on and our inspector had some serious concerns regarding the condition of the crawl space.  He advised us to bring in an expert to test the moisture levels and to inspect certain "suspect activity".  Without hesitation, I knew exactly who to call.  This time I asked for a formal inspection so there was a $125 inspection fee (which was later applied toward the overall cost of the project.)  After the inspection, we received a 45-minute consultation.  We learned there was, in fact, a significant moisture problem as well as some areas with mold.  The inspector told us that even though the issues were substantial, they were correctable and that we shouldnt let these issues deter us from purchasing a house that we loved.
The project quoted for $7,950 and involved:
1) Digging a trough around the interior perimeter of the crawl space (approximately 2,300 sf crawlspace) which would capture any water seeping in from outside and drain out the of the crawlspace at the lowest point. They ran the drainage to a convenient location near our house.  The entire trough was filled with pebbles for filtration.
2)  Remove all the insulation and treat/scrub any moisture areas to remove any mildew/mold.  Also cleaned/organized any wiring as well as removed any debris.
3)  Seal the crawl space with ground plastic as well as up the sides.  Also permanently sealed all the crawl space vents so there was no ventilation from outside.
4)  Tapped into the HVAC system with multiple vents so that the crawl space is warm in the winter time and cooled in the summer time (actually improves the HVAC efficiency).
5)  Suggested using the existing vapor barrier which was in good enough condition (with some minor patch work) to help save costs.
We used this quote as part of our negotiations with the buyers.  We ended up buying the house and hired HHR to do the work they quoted.  They were booked for a month so they came out immediately and temporarily installed a dehumidifier to help control the atmosphere and keep the conditions from getting worse.  They also provided us with a radon meter to monitor the radon levels throughout the house during that timeframe.  Once the real work started, they called me every day to let me know when their team would arrive and give me status updates.  The workers were always on time, polite and happy to answer questions.  I have never dealt with a more professional company.
The end result is amazing.  I have had two different workers come do other work, which required them to go into the crawl space. They were both amazed at the condition.  One said it was "the best crawl space experience he ever had" and they complimented the work without me asking.  I recently spent 4 hours under there running speaker wire for a surround sound system and can't believe how immaculate the crawlspace is.

Chris was a meticulous worker, setting up a "clean" room around the half bath. He was considerate of us, being as unintrusive as possible under the circumstances. He was prompt and courteous. It was also Chris who found the cause of the mold - the exhaust fan ductwork had become separated from the outside vent. He kept us informed throughout the process and finished the job on time. And he cleaned up everything at the end including wiping down the hardwood floors as he backed out to our front door. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat.

HHR was professional from the start. Dennis was punctual and efficient when conducting the initial inspection and providing a quite. He and Amy patiently answered all my questions before I committed to the project. They performed the work in two stages... mold remediation first. They were very thorough with different workers coming by at different times to inspect each other's work and make sure they got rid every last spot of mold. They also used a dehumidifier for several weeks in advance of the second phase of work - sealing the crawlspace. The entire job came out great. They were very efficient all the way. They called every afternoon to as working was ongoing to let me know what had been done, who would be coming next and when. Dennis came back to do the final inspection and found a couple of minor issues he wanted his team to come fix even though final payment had already been made. I feel like they care a lot about the work they are doing and approached the entire process in a highly professional and ethical manner. I would recommend HHR to anyone.

Healthy Home Restoration did a fantastic job encapsulating our crawlspace.  My husband and I moved into a house that had
an incredibly moldy, wet crawlspace that had a few difficult areas to work in. It was making our house dank and musty and was giving me terrible allergies everyday.  We got four estimates from different companies for the work.  HHR was not the cheapest estimate we got but Dennis answered our questions more thoroughly than anyone else and it was evident that he had extensively
researched the topic of crawlspace encapsulation. We felt most comfortable with HHR?s approach and we hired them to do the work.
William did most of the work and was extremely thorough, hardworking and personable for the week he spent here.  He added drainage in several places, sealed up all the vents, added a fan to draw air out, patched into our HVAC ducts to keep the air slightly conditioned and dry and replaced the crawlspace door for an insulated and sealed door. They also contracted with a
company to clean out our ductwork.  It was a total transformation!   Within a day, I could already tell a major difference in the air quality in the house. The air was dry and the musty smell dissipated within a week. It has been about 2 months since they performed the work and everything still looks fantastic down there.  Very dry, clean and most importantly, mold free!  They also guarantee their work, which is comforting.
We had no complaints at all about their work and would absolutely hire them again if we ever have a need.

They were recommended by the plumber we've used through Angie's List. They came out within a couple of days of me initially calling. The work was pretty extensive. It was probably 3-4 weeks total by the time the work was totally done. They were communicating and we knew what was going on. It just took some time to get it done. I will definitely use them again.

Overall the experience with HHR was great, the only negative was that I wasn't initially provided a detailed line by line estimate of the work being done which caused some frustration.
We had a skylight in the master bedroom that had been leaking for quite sometime. We patched it and would have repaired it ourselves but the skylight wasn't a standard size. Recently after some heavy rains the popcorn ceiling near the skylight fell down and we noticed some water leaks and possible mold damage. HHR was the first company listed for mold remediation and one of the highest rated on Angie's list so I called them first. Chris came out and inspected the work to be done. Chris was always courteous, nice and very respectful of our home. I then received a call from Amy who gave me the estimate for the mold remediation only and a rough estimate for the roof repair. On a hunch I called our home owner's insurance agency to see if they would help pay the bill and it turned out that they would cover most of the cost. When the home owner's inspector came out they gave me a detailed line by line expense report and cut me a check and told me to call back if any hidden damage was found. The only frustration in the entire process came because the estimate HHR gave me wasn't broken down line by line, so I was stuck in the middle negotiating prices between HHR and my insurance company. I should have had them talk to each other and work out the details instead. Anyway, after the mold remediation was done HHR contracted someone for the roof repairs and ceiling repairs that agreed to the estimates they gave me. Both contractors were pleasant to work with. After the job was done there were a few items that didn't get done because they didn't need to be done, but I had already written a check. HHR was more than happy to renegotiate and give me a refund for the items that weren't done. Since they did such  good job I plan to use them for crawlspace encapsulation. I would recommend HHR to anyone. They were professional, easy to work with and reasonably priced.

Healthy Homes removed insulation, used fans to dry out space and a temp dehumidifier.  Once dried, they cleaned the mold and sprayed wood to protect.  They permanently sealed vents and added wall insulation and sealed foundation and covered space with 10 mil plastic on floor and halfway up walls.  They also made sure all wiring and duct work was off the ground.  They dug a new trench and installed drainage out of the crawl space and showed me how the old drainage was not working.  They insulated and properly sealed the crawl space door and added a handle to make it easier to open.
They then added two vents off of the current existing AC / heating duct work to allow AC during the summer and heating during the winter to keep the crawl space temperature and humidity at more consistent levels.

The main job took 6 days to do.  Prior to the main job it took about 3 hours to remove old insulation.  They also had 6 fans inunder the house for a week with a temporary deumidifier to dry our area.  The owner personally came out on site to inspect and go over all the work with me.
Everything he said he was going to do in the quote he did, and did it when he said he would do it.
There was great communication on a daily basis to let me know who and when would come the next day as the work progressed.
All the team was professional and couteous and I feel my money was well spent and at a fair price.
I highly recommend using Healthy Home Resoration.

During the rainy season I poked around in the crawlspace and was unhappy with the state of an old plastic vapor barrier, old insulation and lots of dead rodent skeletons and bugs.  It was very dirty and I learned that much of the air on the first floor of your home comes from the crawl space.  I figured I was breathing in old insulation, bug droppings and other nastiness and wanted to clean it up, even though I live in an older townhouse complex where few homeowners do such repairs.  Dennis, who I thought was very honest and professional, came over and gave me a reasonable estimate.  I signed on right away as I think he is extremely trustworthy and a high end professional.  His crew members (William and another gentleman) was wonderful and exceptionally polite.  They did a great job cleaning up the space over a few days and I am sure it is the best looking one in my neighborhood.  No one knows that but me, but I am happy knowing the foundation of my house is in tip-top condition.  Moreover, I won't have to worry about the skeletal remains of small creatures somehow coming alive (i.e. rat zombies) and attacking me and my cat at night.  I will plan to do this in all future homes as it's important to maintain the "bones" of one's home properly.  Upon his final inspection Dennis had his guys come back and do a little extra work around the perimeter of the house.  I am very glad I did this project.  Also, Amy who scheduled me was very efficient.  It's a first rate contracting operation as shown from all the positive reviews, and I believe Dennis cares about the work he does and in his customers' satisfaction.  I will look forward to hiring him again in the future.  Thanks HHR!

Healthy Home was wonderful to work with.  We were preforming repairs during the sale of our home and time was of the essence.  They came out to give us a quote with pictures quickly after we called.  They gave lots of information and were able to work on our schedule.  They were professional and we never felt like they were gouging us like some other contractors.  We would absolutely recommend Healthy Home to anyone with crawlspace issues.

Healthy Home Restoration (HHR) did an excellent job.  I interviewed 4 companies before authorizing the work, and HHR stood out as the best qualified.  From the moment I met with owner, Mr. Dennis C***, to get an estimate to when the project was completed, the HHR staff was punctual, considerate, respectful, and extremely pleasant to work with.  I would engage these guys again in a second!  Well done HHR!!!

Dennis came on time to do the testing and was very professional and knowledgeable.  He looked at the insulation and was not sure it was mold because the wood was very clean and looked good.  He checked around the whole basement and told us that he was almost certain that we had no moisture problem in our basement.  Dennis said he would test it, but he didn't want to just take our money.  I thought that showed so much integrity.   He could have done it anyway. He only charged us a small amount for a house call, as well as  all the good advice he gave us.  We thought that was fair.  He discussed the workshop/garage that we have in part of the basement and some other things that we should do before we begin the process of finishing the basement.  I would recommend HHR because of how well we were treated in this process.  Even thought the testing was not completed, we felt confident that Dennis gave us such good advice and information.

It was a pleasure working with Health Home Restoration. Dennis provided a fair price to encapsulate the crawl space. Amy who was the person of contact, would let me know in the afternoon what work was planned for the next day. Each day the crew arrived on time. They worked steadily and did very professional work every step of the way. They kept the job site clean while they were there. In the end the crawl space was encapsulated and the smell of mold and mildew was gone from my house. To top it off, Dennis came back at the end to inspect the work and found some minor items that he wanted his crew to fix. This was after I paid him. The crew fixed them just a few days later and we were very happy with the results.

HHR is a wonderful company to do business with.  They treated my home like it was THEIR home, and as a homeowner, I really appreciate this.

The work started with, Dennis the owner, coming out to see what was going on in our crawlspace. He patiently explained everything very thoroughly and provided a quote that day, which was very competitive.  He clearly knows his stuff.   Basically, we needed a drain dug around the perimeter of the crawlspace to handle the water issue.  We decided to go ahead and do encapsulation as well...this was not needed to fix the water issue, but the crawlspace had mold and rodents and was just very dirty.  It is now clean, mold-free and rodent-free.

Amy or Chris would call me each day and let me know who would be there the next day, what they would be doing and what time they would arrive. Each and every employee that came to work at my house was top notch.....they were friendly, helpful, attentive to fine details, quality oriented, and had very positive attitudes.
I highly recommend HHR.....they are an A+ company!

The job went very well.  Dennis C*** (the owner) came out as scheduled to give me an estimate.  He is very personable, straightforward, and knowledgeable.
I wanted a solution that I could set and mostly forget about.  HHR's estimate was far below others, mainly because did not try to sell me anything I did not need.  He was very helpful in answering all questions and putting them in plain English and took all the time I needed to help me understand what solution he was recommending.  Other companies were trying to offer solutions that required constant upkeep and maintenance.
Before the work was to have begun, I discovered some standing water where I hadn't noticed any before, shortly after a rain.  Dennis came back out to take a second look and recommended additional drainage that was not part of the original estimate, which was no problem for them to merge with the existing job.  While this job was more than I had originally planned on spending, I now have a cleaner, drier, and healthier crawlspace.
The team was able to start on the start date, and, though it took an additional day or so due to the additional drainage work and the weather, I was pleased with the thoroughness and professionalism.  I always got a call at the end of each work day to update me on the progress and when they would arrive at my house, in addition to any potential issues.  All questions and requests were handled very well.  After the work was completed, Dennis came out to inspect the final product.
I would happily use them again for their other services and recommend them to anyone.

I called HHR with concerns that we had mold in our kitchen (nothing was visible).  After relaying my concerns, they said that instead of having to spend the cost of the mold inspection and the mold tests, they could have a technician come out and do a spot check to see if they saw any signs that would necessitate scheduling a full inspection.  They were able to get a time scheduled within a day and with something that worked with my schedule (which was super nice considering I wasn't yet a paying customer!).  Mike arrived on time and and was very friendly to us and our dog.  He listened to our concerns, checked the areas we were worried about  and our crawl space and gave us some suggestions on how we could take care of the issues ourselves and what they could do for us.  We didn't end up having to schedule a mold inspection and tests, but Mike gave us some suggestions to help prevent future mold issues and heating and cooling efficiency.  We will definitely be calling them back and will keep them in mind for future work.
