We have known Gary on a professional level since 1999 when we first bought a house Fuquay-Varina with his assistance. In 2006, we moved Overseas and Gary handled EVERYTHING on our behalf. We trusted him with a POA! In 2011, we knew that we were returning soon to the States and Gary handled the purchase of a Townhouse for us - while we were still Overseas. This month, we moved to Western North Carolina and once again Gary is handling the sale of our Townhouse. He arranged for various service providers to do repairs/touch-ups/cleaning in our absence. Gary has been a Realtor in the Triangle area for many years and he is a 100% Pro with service we do not know any other Realtor would provide. He does his homework, he thoroughly discusses every step, he communicates and responds to the "needs" of a Buyer and of Seller since we experienced him on both sides. He is not pushy, he is sincere and he knows the market. Once a transaction is completed, Gary is still available for any information one requires. If he doesn't have the information, he will find out. We consider him a jewel of a Realtor!

After selling a home, renting two different homes (found with the help of a real estate agent) and going through the buying process for two homes all in the last 3 years, my husband and I have seen a variety of real estate agents in recent history. Gary Yellin is the yardstick to which all other real estate agents should be measured. We met him after our last real estate agent lied about us to the sellers and our original home purchase fell through one week before closing. We took a little break from home searching and rented before jumping on the band wagon again. We looked at homes that were not good fits. We looked at great homes in neighborhoods that were not good fits. We were outbid. We were also beat to a contract....twice. Gary let us start out on the low end of our budget and we worked our way up as we searched. We must have looked at 20 homes at least! But all the while, Gary was a bastion of optimism as we weighed whether or not there was such a thing as a ?home buying curse.? He was so patient and reassuring! He made us feel like we were his top clients. He was sure he could help us find the right one...and we did! One of his best attributes is how he helps you see potential problems with a property. (Yay! No more glossing over home renovations or pressure to buy something you don't like!) Then, during the actual buying process, the seller made some crazy accusations thereby solidifying our ?home buying curse? theory...even against Gary himself. But we never saw him lose his cool. He's kind of like a real estate agent superhero. And he's a nice guy to boot! Can't recommend him enough!

I love Gary! We interviewed several agents and went with Gary. Gary was upfront and honest. He brought in a stager and that made the biggest difference. We sold in 9 days! He also helped us with the purchase of current home. He was great in getting everything we wanted at a great price. He still keeps in touch with us. One year after we bought he stopped by with dinner to check on us and see if we were still happy and what we have done with the place. You can't ask for better a agent! He truely cares.

I called Gary and even though the purchase was about a year out, he spent a lot of time helping me to understand the market and process. He was very patient while helping me to understand everything. He personally returned all calls promptly and answered all questions promptly (sometimes having to some research). One thing in particular stands out: I was interested in a house but I thought it was overpriced so I wanted to do something a little unusual - I wanted to get an appraisal before I made an offer. Before we could get that organized, someone else put an offer on the house. I was reluctant to get into a "bidding war" and asked Gary for advice. He said, "As a friend, I'm telling you to walk away; there will be other houses." How many Realtors walk away (or at least delay) the opportunity to get their commission??? Ultimately, 2 months later, we closed on our dream house. Thanks Gary!!

We contacted Gary six months before we wanted to sell our home. He toured our home and made suggestions to get it ready for sale. Gary also told us about other homes for sale in the neighborhood. He didn't pressure us to sell, make us sign anything, or push us into doing anything. He advised us to have a home inspection, which we did at this time. That allowed us to find out what we needed to fix prior to selling the house. Gary referred us to the professionals we hired to complete the work. Once we were ready, we called Gary and he listed our house at the price we wanted. We had an offer right away, but the buyer was demanding and unreasonable. Gary advised us not to take this poor offer and instead brought us a better offer 2 weeks later from a wonderful family. He then worked out a good deal for us on the house we wanted (even though there were other offers). Our closing went smoothly and we were happy with the whole experience.
