FENCES OF CARY

John didn't do my fence, so I can't comment on the quality of his work. Instead, he farmed my fence job out to a subcontractor (without informing me) -- his brother in law, Sal.
Sal did a decent job building the fence, but it was not a pleasurable experience. He couldn't do fence math -- I needed to go out and help him calculate where to place the posts. Sal suggested extending the fence by about 10 feet due to some tree issues, and I agreed. He wanted to do this extension as a *side job* -- he wanted me to pay him cash on the side, and he would go buy this extra lumber separately to and quot;save me money.and quot; Well, what about the wood matching? What about warranty issues? This is as shady of business as I've ever encountered. No way -- I insisted on called Fences of Cary directly to get this sorted out. Sal was not happy about this (and quot;well, i was trying to save you moneyand quot;), and I had to deal with that awkwardness afterwards.
It continued. Sal was kind enough to suggest hardware to install (locks, springs, etc.). He brought over and installed it, but the invoice was payable to him, not Fences of Cary. He also gave me his personal card and asked me to call him back for any warranty issues or questions, since it's be and quot;faster.and quot; Seemed shady, but I thought -- and quot;ok, he's trying to help me out and do a good job, maybe make a name for himself. I'll give him a chance.and quot;
When I googled Sal's name to see if he had a reputable company of his own, all that came up were mugshots of Sal. 20+ nasty looking mugshots.
I ended up needing a few fence boards replaced, and I drove to Sierra Structures to get lumber and replaced them myself. Needless to say this company is not allowed back on the property.
Shady company, shady subs. Beware.

We needed an additional 9 feet of stockade fencing added to an existing fence for privacy. John Warner came out promptly and was courteous and professional. The completed work is just fantastic. We will definitely use Fences of Cary for future fencing needs.

The owner handles all aspects of the fence installation. He was extremely nice and easy to work with. I was very indecisive on where to place the fence, so I should also say he's very patient. He came out twice to perform the measurements, fence location, and location of the gates and removable sections. He was always punctual.
The fence looks incredible. He used a thicker wood than many companies. I also liked that John was on-site and did the installation with another crew member. I contacted several other fence companies, but found Fences of Cary prices to be competitive.
I would definitely recommend Fences of Cary to others. My dogs would as well - they love their new fence!

They were on time, very reputable company that I was referred to. They did an outstanding job, top quality work and top quality products. They finished the job in a timely manner and lots of communication.

I got them from Angie's List. I thought they were very professional and they were able to work through all of my concerns. They were great at mediating my neighbors concerns too because part of the length of the fence is a shared fence between myself and my neighbor.

He was very reasonable, I liked him a lot, he was quick, competent, and very responsive. Overall I was very pleased with him!

I used Angie's List to identify several fencing companies with good ratings. I had three different companies come to measure and give me estimates, including Fences of Cary. Chris from Fences of Cary came to my house, measured the fence, and sent a pricing proposal to me by email the same day. I was not home when he came, but my wife was there and she was very impressed with how friendly and professional he was. After I got the quotes from the two other fencing companies, one company had a different measurement, so I asked Chris from Fences of Cary to come back and double check the measurements. He was happy to come back and double check the measurements. This time, I was home and I met Chris and was also impressed with his knowledge, friendliness, and professionalism. That weekend, my wife and I decided to go with Fences of Cary to have the work done. Chris provided me with a drawing of the fence to submit to my homeowner's association. I sent my deposit and two weeks later (just as he promised), Fences of Cary called to say they would be at my house two days later to begin the work. The work took just two days. They did a fantastic job. The workmanship was top notch and the finished product was beautiful. We are thrilled with the new fence and the overall experience with Fences of Cary. We would absolutely use them again and would recommend them without hesitation.

The work done was top notch. John was very professional and courteous throughout the project. The quote was spot on and I was even given a discount when we decided to change the design of one of the gates.

Everything is great now and my fence looks wonderful. The individual putting in the fence worked hard. The work was done in Oct but this is the first time I have had time to write the report.

I had to wait for HOA approval after getting the quote from this company, and that took over two months. But they worked with me and didn't forget who I was. They stuck to their quote, even when I needed removable sections over the easement part of our yard. I was fit into their schedule within two weeks of telling them I was ready. The fence was built by one man in three days and looks great! The arches are perfectly shaped.

John kept us informed. When supplies were delayed, he notified us and began work when he said the crew would be there. Cleaned up the site. Great looking fence.

The business owner, John Warner, did the estimate and performed the work with his crew. John was very knowledgeable, professional and was willing to make suggestions that were helpful. The job was completed when he said it would be and the workmanship was top notch. He also hand-made a wooden gate for our deck. This was definitely the best experience I've had since moving in, and we have been dealing with many contractors since the move. I highly recommend John for anyone looking for fence work.
