The cleaners are inconsistent. EcoMaids has a checklist that the cleaners are supposed to follow. Some of the cleaners followed it perfectly and even did extra cleaning, while others would skip items, such as cleaning windows or doors. If it were possible to request specific cleaners, and not have to deal with Darrick, then EcoMaids would be a decent cleaning service.
"It sounds like this customer's main complaint was with the offer from groupon. From the beginning they were under the impression that the groupon should cover a cleaning of the whole house. We build our estimates based on which rooms you would like cleaned. I don't think charging $15 per additional room could be construed as charging for every piddly thing, especially when they are getting such a deep discount (this customer decided they would like to add 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a family room onto their groupon). The offer clearly stated that the cleaning covered the core rooms: kitchen, living room, dining room, and that extra rooms were an additional $15/each. At the end they paid out of pocket a total of $169 for a job that retailed for $239. Two people spent four hours cleaning their house, and a quality manager was there at the end for 1 hour. We didn't skimp on time or quality and they got a phenomenal deal."
