+ -1 moreThe owner Phil was supposed to replace floor and cabinets in the kitchen. He took my money for the countertops and then quit the job before putting the order into the counter top company. I ended up having to pay the company so I bought the counters twice and pay again to have them installed. I later looked it up and he had numerous judgments against him as well as a fraudulent contractor license number. I should have done my due diligence. Steer clear.

Description of Work: I would like to warn my neighbors and others not to use http://www.eastcoastbuildersnc.com to do any work with them. Today, when Phil - the owner came to do some indoor work for us, he refused to wear a mask when we requested. In the COVID-19 era, a request like this one should be a no brainer and is the right thing to do. Any physician would tell you that one’s safety is critical for you and your family as well as the worker too. As recently had brain surgery, I and my family are very cautious about my health as well as theirs. My Duke World Class Brain 🧠 Surgeon indicated to me that if we let anyone in the house they and us should wear a mask!! When I explained this to him, he did not care one bit and stormed away. This is highly unprofessional for any one to do. Also, the icing on the cake, he was particularly @#$& 🤬🤬🤬🤬nasty to my spouse and this I found very insulting. So - BUYER BEWARE!!!

+ -1 moreImmediately after work was completed we notified the owner of loose tiles and grout breaking. He told us that this was not his fault but the fault of the builder, stating our sub floor was poor. We just spent a lot of money with another contractor to replace the floors. We found that although it was in our quote that the original floor would be removed to subfloor East Coast did not remove the original flooring. They placed cement board over existing floor and only nailed it down in a few spots. They did not use any adhesive to attach cement board. They did poor quality work, cut corners and would not correct when we notified them of the issues.

Description of Work: We had a new heat and air handler installed and needed brickwork and siding installed. East Coast Builders installed new bricks and matched and installed new siding. The work was professionally done in a timely manner. We are very happy with the results- you cannot see where the old bricks/siding meet the new bricks/siding.
