Austin’s work is excellent. He is very knowledgeable and frequently offers better alternative ways to do the job. He puts a lot of stock in his reputation and won’t do work that he feels would damage it. He is a little pricy but the confidence that things will be done right makes it worth it.

I have a gas fireplace and I heard scratching noises. Apparently, a squirrel gained access to the chimney and made itself a warm home. Austin was prompt and detailed with his estimate. He remove the nest and siding, replaced the old insulation, and secured the opening. I’d definitely use his services again!

Austin and his team were very professional throughout entire process, as well as efficient. We had what was suppose to be a simple siding replacement turn into a larger task (found termites). Austin immediately informed me of the situation and it was able to be rectified by an exterminator. He also presented various options throughout the project. His honesty and willingness to ask before proceeding with a major step was much appreciated. The siding project was completed in a timely manner and was done as asked. I will certainly be seeking Austin's service in the future.

I contacted Austin to complete some punch list items that came up as part of a home inspection conducted by the buyer for an 11 year old house I was putting on the market last October in Morrisville. Austin and I met at the house for an initial walk-through and evaluation of each punch list item noted in the inspection report. I found Austin to be very professional and knowledgeable of what needed to be fixed and how it should be fixed. The inspection report mentioned an issue with the roofing in the front elevation and suggested a fix by nailing down the slightly raised flashing. Austin's assessment was that this was not a defect but a cosmetic issue. In fact by nailing down the flashing, the result would not fix the issue but make the non-issue into an actual problem by allowing water to penetrate the flashing through the nail holes. Austin wrote a letter that I provided to the buyer and convinced them the flashing did not need the repair suggested in the inspection report. Austin completed the work items on schedule and kept to the agreed upon price estimate. The work was performed with high quality. I will definitely reach out to Austin if I have any future punch list items that need to be completed.

The buyers were extremely satisfied with the work as well - all work was completed on the first attempts with no need for return corrections! Working with Austin at Donce Once, Done Right is a breeze. My family has used him for multiple projects around the house and I have never had a single complaint in his work or my interactions with him. Major projects Austin has done for me: 1) Replace Front Porch Our old front porch was rotting out, so we called Austin. He came out, provided a competitive bid with an outside-the-box design. Our old porch was only about 4 feet deep from the stairs to the door, my wife and I wanted more room so we could actually sit on the front porch. Austin's design cantilevered the front of the porch out over the foundation by about 3 feet, giving us ample room to sit. During the build, Austin discovered that my band boards had rotted out, and provided me an on-the-spot quote to replace the rotted wood. In spite of this setback, he completed the project on time and at budget. My wife and I love our new front porch. Without Austin, it wouldn't have been possible. 2) Replace 150 linear feet of trim The last time my house was painted much of trim was replaced, but that was 6 years ago. Austin came out, did a walk-around with me and gave me individual quotes on replacing different rotted out pieces of trim. His quote was transparent and competitive. Due to having individual prices on all the pieces, my wife and I could prioritize which pieces of trim to replace due to our limited budget. Austin did great work and was very communicative during the process. He would text me pictures of additional rot found with an attached quote for replacement of the newly discovered rot. I could then make the decision to replace or not. Austin again finished the project on time. While we went over our budget, this was not Austin's fault, but due to the additional rot found on the house from time to time. _______________________________________________________________________ Overall, I find Austin very easy to work with. His tone is conversational, he listens to you, and he is about as transparent as a contractor can get. Austin's prices are not the cheapest, but I know that I will not have to worry about his work for the lifetime of my house and that is worth every penny. My wife and I recommend Austin to our friends and family. We trust him to his word and his work and for that he'll visit my house again. Thanks Austin!
