John came out and offered a decently priced quote ($175) on the job, as it would require lathing down a standard sized hollow core door. After the quote, he never contacted me to schedule the job. I was fairly easy going and it is a largely cosmetic problem (door still works, but the middle is badly cracked). Every time I reached out to get John to schedule a time to complete job over the course of several (5+) weeks, he was unreachable or reported being busy with a large project for another customer. I've decided to use a different contractor, but it is frustrating that he wasted so much of my time when he could have simply said he was either too busy to do the job or that it was not a large enough job for him to do. I would not recommend for the future based on my experience.

John Latson replaced a number of rotting cedar siding boards on the upper story of our house, and he also repaired damage behind a gutter that he discovered while doing the job. Though finding a match for our large board cedar siding was difficult, John found two types and gave us a choice. He arrived on time on the scheduled the work days, worked consistently through to completion, and his work was excellent and came in under estimate. We dealt with John Latson of Craftsmen Builders from the initial estimate to final completion. He was very good to work with from the beginning as we finalized the details of what needed to be completed.through the final product. Quality of work is excellent. Would definitely use Craftsmen Builders again.

I enjoyed speaking with Mr. Latson; he gave me a lot of useful information, including upcoming changes in residential codes and sharing his 42 years of experience with me in construction and remodeling. HIs follow-up was thorough and, though we decided not to use his services at this time, I would highly recommend him for home remodeling projects, He has an in-depth knowledge of the industry and was willing to share his experience with me even before we got "down to business" with the walk-through of the area to be remodeled.

They were on time, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Presented a complete knowledge of doing the type of house repairs we wanted.

We spoke with John Latson,he came in a timely manner. He took all the time needed to go over what we had thought of and gave an estimate. He had an idea that changed our thinking. The estimate was thousands of dollars lower, plus save us much work on our part. We had John follow though on making large room by putting doors on each entry. We first contacted John by email and he promptly replied. Even though he didnt start the work immediately after contract was signed, he kept in touch with us as to when he would start. Once he started he worked diligently at it. Craftsmen Builders is pretty much a one many operation where he subcontracts for carpentry, roofing, etc. John was always around when roofer, electrician were working at our house. It took about 3 weeks or so to complete job but considering he did most of the work himself we were ok with it. John knew the budget we had and he did a good job of staying within that budget. He did a beautiful job with our porch and have had neighbors that we dont even know stop by and comment on how pretty it is.

Contacted John via email at Angie's List. He responded quickly to the email and came out to the house to assess the job. He told me he would be in touch the following week. Another week has gone by and I haven't heard from him. I don't think I want to work with someone who doesn't follow up with a potential customer.

We called John when we notice some of the siding needed replacement. He came over and we went over the work that needed to be done. He gave us a quote and he came and did the job.

They were very fast. They did a great job. I don?t see that they could have improved from anywhere. They were there every morning. They called the plumber if they had any problem. They were very quick in doing the work. I would definitely use them in the future.

It has been going well so far. The guy was nice. He came on time. The problem was that he had to bring in his electrician, and I didn't have time for that. He kept asking me to give him the keys again and again.

Overall, the job was as good or better than I had hoped for. They understood my requirements, provided a detailed contract, and did all of the work they promised. At completion, they removed all construction materials and left the job neat and clean. It was by far the easiest time I have ever had dealing with home construction companies. I plan on using them again.

I had looked on the web to see what people had been saying about different remodeling companies, called a few and this company was one of the first two that got back in touch with me. It worked well. I looked them up on Angie's List and they had a pretty decent review. Their work was great. I didn't get as many quotes as I probably should have. They did a lot of work.

They were competitively priced, but somebody else had a slightly better price. I didn?t use Craftsmen Builders because of the price.

Mr Latson worked extremely thoroughly on all aspects of the project. He went to a great deal of trouble to find a solution for the vents that come out of one outer wall, and designed a roof for the porch that looked as if the porch was screened in at the time the house was built. People who see the house at the back are amazed when they learn that the work on the porch was done only recently. All work on the lower deck and privacy screen is further testimony of the pride Mr Latson takes in his work - the structures are sturdy and well finished.

His work was pretty good. There were some issues with him failing to notify me of additional charges in advance of the work being done.

Craftsmen builders kept us informed during all stages of design and construction. Our input and opinions were welcomed. We got exactly what we wanted.

Excellent experience. Price was in line with the estimate. Workmanship was excellent. Time to do the project was reasonable with minimum delays. Kept us posted on what was happening and why.
