"You must be referring to another company. The first time CPR Construction LLC has ever done work on your street was June/July 2017 and it was at a different house."
"This customer's description is inaccurate, defamatory and one sided. CPR Construction took a very old outdated basement and turned it into a show piece. Everyone on the project (except her) thought it turned out shockingly well. Prior to us starting the basement renovation the owner showed us their upper floor renovation that was done prior. It looked great yet the owner spouted "all kinds of problems" with that contractor. Nothing positive to say just "problems". Red flag anyone? But it was not realized at that point. Moving on - regardless of the owner's defamatory remarks, the project turned out handsomely. The before and after photos proved it. The project was on schedule, with no mishaps, and finished at a cost that was what was promised. Her description doesn't mention that the husband felt obligated to apologize for her behavior at times after her yelling and drama. It was good guy/bad guy with them multiple times. Paint splatters along the baseboard on a dark floor that we also installed should not have been made into such a big deal. They were easily cleaned. But when the owner is on her hands and knees looking and scratching at them from12" away and complaining every step of the way (all this prior to us finishing) then it was clear this is someone who has grossly unrealistic expectations. When an owner walks a project multiple times before it's complete it is normal they will find "punch items and imperfections" simply because the project is not complete. If she found some after it was complete, which she did, it should not have been made into such a big deal. Regardless, they were corrected. But to treat us and our painters irrationally and meanly is unacceptable. In the end, and after the project was completed as proven by her final payment, her anger must have festered. Rather than dealing with us professionally she complained to the Internet with descriptions that were baseless and suggestive of things that were blown way out of proportion by her. She lashed out by demanding payment for the use of a few photos on a website. How petty. Because we forgot to get her permission in writing to use them they were removed in good faith. The photos would have clearly shown the remarkable job done - something she was obviously afraid of admitting. Again, every person including all our vendors walking through the project were in awe of the project's outcome, regardless of the random pin head sized paint splatters. This customer is a clear example of the the saying "You can't please everyone", and, "There's always one like this". She took the cake. We've learned a lot from that project, especially how not to treat people. Since that time and over 240 customers later our testimonials and recommendations continue to grow rapidly. Many are listed on our website. After returning a few times after the project was completed but to continue to repaint surfaces that were already finished and clean looking we said no more, unless something major needed to be addressed. No more trips happened. So you can see there are 2 sides to every story."
