Very well. Nick was easy to reach, responsive and dependable. He went above and beyond what I had expected.

Nick, is very easy to talk to, and he takes the time to tell you in detail what he found and what he did. I felt very comfortable dealing with him and was impressed by how deep he dug into the computer issues. He is outstanding to work with and I will be taking my other computer to him to just have it checked and fine tuned.

Computer runs great, now.  And with the added malware protection, I feel safer operating the computer.

He worked out easy drop off and pick up; explained various options; knowledgeable and prompt; advised on getting reimbursed for poor quality security service previously purchased from another company; computer now works great! I would definitely use this service provider in the future.

My PC is running great!  Nick removed rootkits and defragmented my PC.  He was able to check that the hardware was running fine.  He did all this in a timely fashion.  I would recommend this computer service. 

He was knowledgeable, patient, offered fabulous advance and all at a reasonable price. He will be our "go-to-guy" for all our future computer needs. 

Nick talked with me by telephone prior to coming to the house, so he pretty much knew what the issues would be with our home network.  Our network was unstable and required twice daily re-booting, as well as dealing with poor signals in some parts of the house.  Nick is an excellent troubleshooter and explains things with patience.   A combination of some equipment changes and other adjustments so far seems to have done the job.  The download signals are consistent and stable, and often above what Time Warner said they would be. The price might seem a bit steep, but this work did involved over 4 hours and several pieces of equipment.

After experiencing a very unpleasant and costly computer service that did not rectify the problem, I turned to Angie's List and found Nick Covey, the owner of Covey Computer Services.  After explaining the awful experience I just recently endured, Nick was able to fit me into his schedule the very next day.  He arrived promptly and I told him that I had downloaded a program a few weeks earlier that I felt was responsible for corrupting another program that I use every day.  He quickly found a Trojan related to that program along with some other malware issues. After isolating the Trojan the program I needed was restored.  In addition, he checked on two other computers to be sure they were working well.  Nick was very professional .  He answered all my questions and I felt very confident in his computer skills.  Nick is my go to guy for any computer issues in the future.

I was concerned about a recent purchase with a video card I had made online. After I had purchased the card several issues came up online about how the card would handle high demand and if it could really do what was advertised. Mr. Covey answered all my questions about the card and explained to me in terms I could understand about how it worked and what I could expect from the card in the way I was using it now and how I might be using it in the future. He also gave me some great tips on buying in the future and what to look out for. Again, great advice delivered in a way that I could understand. I highly recommend Mr. Covey!

I have hired numerous computer technicians over the years. Mr. Covey stands head and shoulders over his competition. Fairly priced, punctual, and thorough. I will continue to avail myself of his services as long as he is in business.

The only quasi-negative comment I have is the length of time it took home to get to my repairs, however I told him it was not an urgent situation, so I can'really hold this against Nick. He was very thorough in explaining the problem and how he recommended repairing. I believe he used the most cost effective method of completing the work and will definitely call him in the future with my computer issues.

I was very displeased with the service. I didn't trust him. He was condescending towards me. He took long to do the work.? I am going to get a whole new computer. I would never recommend him to somebody else.

Initially we contacted the laptop manufacturer for the repair issue. Their price was reasonable but turn round would have been about 2-3 weeks. Covey Computer Services offered to do the job much faster and would also cost less. Mr Covey replaced the hard drive and the internal battery in the laptop. My experience with this repair is very similar to that of previous reviewers. I am very happy with his work and will use Mr Covey again if needed.

Nick Covey did a terrific job over the phone helping me diagnose the problems I had with recovering from a Dell XPS Laptop SSD crash. I dreaded to have to rebuild the new drive from scratch with hunting and downloading all drivers, since I had an ISO image. I could see the stored ISO image, but the process kept aborting in the last stage. Nick patiently and expertly took me through all the steps, and one by one we eliminated root causes.
What I appreciated the most was, that he didn't waste time (like so many helplines do) dragging me through the litany of beginner's checks, but he quickly assessed what I know and what I don't know, and built from there.
And last but not least when I asked what I owe, he did not charge me, which I found amazing in today's world.
I will not hesitate to bring any of my computers to him for repair, as I completely trust his judgement and value his insights.

I was extremely pleased with Covey's service.  It was performed in a timely manner at a reasonable cost.  In addition, he kept me well informed as to status of testing, etc.  I was very pleased with his recommendations to help prevent problems in the future.  I recommend without hesitation.

My computer was running EXTREMELY slow. I had a popular brand of Internet security software and malware protection in place but I sensed something was wrong. I read Mr. Covey's reviews and was impressed, so I gave him a call. He answered right away and spent a considerable amount of time with me explaining (in layman's terms, might I add) what the problem most likely was. Of course, he could not be certain until he took a look at it. We discussed his rates, which were very reasonable and lower than the going rate. We also discussed a time that would be convenient for me to bring the computer to him. Along with a diagnostic check that I requested (our computer is 4.5 years old), he discovered multiple viruses and multiple root kits. Along with cleaning up the mess, he installed a much more reliable Internet security software and premium malware protection as well as a disk cleaner and a defragment software. Mr. Covey did not drag his feet with the repair either. The computer was actually ready for me to pick up much earlier than expected! When I got the computer home and got it running, I had more questions about the new software he installed and also how to best maintain the computer. We arranged a time to discuss my questions by phone...again a positive experience. The entire process was seamless.

• I am very favorably impressed by Mr. Covey's knowledge, patience, and professionalism.  His rates are more than reasonable for the service provided--including shop time and in-home work, the job took approximately eight hours--and his hardware prices are competitive. Should I require a computer expert in the future, his number will be the first I call.

The service was excellent. I gave him my computer to fix on a Wednesday and got it back ready to go in 2 days which was great. He was very friendly and very professional. I will defiantly use him again for any of my computer problems and I will defiantly recommend him to everyone I know that is in need of computer service.

Extremely knowledgeable, capable and helpful.  CCS fixed our laptop problems in a timely fashion after others (Staples "technicians") repeatedly failed. If we have issues in the future we will definitely make Covey Computer Services our first stop for repairs and services.
