 + -1 moreThe produce was delivered a day late. Virtually all of it was spoiled. Not only that, it was approximately twice the price of stores and, for that reason I assumed it was local and organic. Not so! It was the exact same product as in the supermarket, only spoiled. To their credit, however, after several emails, they agreed to refund my cost and cancel my subscription.
Description of Work: I ordered the individual package from the company for $25 a week. I selected my produce and it was to be delivered on 4/23/13.

 + -1 moreFor about 8 months now, we have had Backyard Produce deliver fresh produce to our door. They are an amazing company. They have been truly remarkable. It is such a neat idea to get the produce delivered - I'm eating so many more vegetables! They deliver every week. They call themselves "Online Farmers' Market". You can get different levels. It starts at $25. I get the $45. First of all, it is delivered to your house, which is amazing. The quality of the produce is also amazing. I don't buy produce from the grocery store any more. Most of it is organic, which is really good. I think the price is comparable to what you would pay at Earth Fair or a shop like that - and it is delivered.

 + -1 moreI cancelled any future orders and was not asked as to why. Personally, I don't feel that the items I ordered were worth $37.50. Could not get the $15 yearly packaging fee back, no explanation given. Do not order from this company unless you want to spend a lot more for organic produce or other goods.
Description of Work: Do not order produce or other goods from this company. They overcharge for what they offer and you have to pay a $15 fee for packaging for the year. I paid $35 for the Just For Two package, 70 cents for tax and the "$15 for yearly packaging fee helps to cover the cost and replacement of boxes and other materials." After receiving 6 items that I did not feel were worth the price of $35, I canceled and requested a refund of the packaging fee or maybe it could be pro-rated, and was told that "unfortunately the packaging fee is non-refunable." I received a loaf of NC Lemon Poppyseed Breakfast bread; a loaf of Verry Berry Breakfast bread from Neomonde Bakery; a bunch of organic bananas; a small bunch of NC organic collards; a loaf of sliced Rye Bread from Neomonde Bakery and a very salty container of 5 ounces of feta cheese.
