Air Specialist Air Conditioning Repair Cary NC

I read the reviews for Air Specialist and was very impressed. I had already tried two other companies and was not able to connect with a real person. I called Air Specialist and was able to talk to Sam right away. He told me what his schedule was and what time he would be able to arrive. He was right on time, asked some questions and then found the problem with a few minutes. He replaced the broken part and air conditioning was restored. Thank you, Sam! He also gave me some tips I could use for the future. I found Sam very personable, professional, honest and skilled and I totally recommend Sam and Air Specialist.

He came out after hours, diagnosed the problem, made a temporary repair until our part comes in, and restored cooling to our home on this hot night. Thank you, Sam! Mr. Sam is open 24 hours! He will come same day when I call. He actually told me he prefers to get 2AM calls, because it's not as hot as day time calls. He is very friendly and always does a great job with repairs.

I called Sam at 7:30AM on a monday to serice my upstairs AC unit fully expecting a service call later in the evening or next day at the earliest. Despite having several calls ahead of me, he was at my door by 10:30. He was able to quickly diagnose what was wrong with my upstairs unit and had me up and running in less than an hour. He was very honest, and straighforward with what was broken, what parts and labor would be before he did the work, did not try to sell me on replacing the units as some other companies have in the past, and got the unit repared fast. A true professional I will use again.

Sam came out to my house in the middle of the ice/sleet/snow event of 22Jan. Other HVAC contractors I had called first either were not answering their phones or refused to come out because of the conditions. I was concerned about a slight smell of gas from my furnace. Sam checked it out and assured me that all was working correctly. He declined to charge me even his callout fee. He was extremely courteous and pleasant.. I would certainly call him again for any HVAC issues.

Sam came immediately and finished the job quickly and efficiently, so we had AC again. Highly recommenced.

Sam offered us terrific service.  He came out on the same day we called him despite a full schedule and was working two more calls when he left our house at 11PM.  He spent an hour on on AC trying to find an inexpensive way to repair it (the system is so old that replacement parts are not possible to find).  He found a work-around for our issue, diagnosed another unrelated problem with the heating unit that we'll need to address before winter, and wrapped things up for us with a short discussion of the problem and its fix.  He took time to answer all our questions despite having two more calls to make that night, and was never rushed or impolite.  Even though he was working at our place from 9:30PM to 11PM he only charged us for a service all -- no after hours fee or additional charges.  I was completely impressed by the high level of service we received.

Sam was great. He picked up the phone when I called the first time.
He was flexible to fit me in the same day. Sam came by within 3 hours and diagnosed the problem. He set up a follow up repair time later the same day. Sam needed to pick up a unit specific part. Sam called each time to let me know when he would be back.
He showed up when he said he would. Sam was professional and polite. Sam fixed the problem 6pm at night. He still had 5 more calls that night to go on. Hard worker.
I called Yellow Dot. Jennifer was very polite, however she could only commit to having someone call when they became available. She said it should be the same day. She was polite, but I have a job too. So that is not acceptable.
I called Air Experts. Received a voice mail. The voice mail said to leave a message and someone would call back in 15 minutes. I never received a call.

I woke to find my air conditioning unit had stopped cooling. I phoned Air Specialists at 8:15am on a Saturday and spoke to the technician who gave me a 10:30 appointment that morning. The repairman arrived promptly at 10:30 as promised. He quickly determined the problem was a malfunctioning booster start capacitor. He left to find a replacement part and returned shortly afterwards. The A/C was running again within minutes. He checked and replaced 2.25 lbs of R-22 refrigerant while he was here.
Air Specialists was prompt, professional and courteous.

Our Ac compressor stopped working on a 100+ degree day. It was still very warm that evening, we called Sam at 11:00 PM and he said he would come after he finished the call he was on. He arrived around 12:15 and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He explained what caused the problem and how we might avoid it in the future. The service call was expensive, but expected as he came out at such a late time.

Sunday morning we woke to find that our A/C was no longer working. The day's temperature was forecast to be over 95 degrees! We called and left a message with our usual A/C company (that had sold us and installed our system about 5 years before) around 8 am that morning. When noon rolled around -- and no one had called us back -- and the temperature in the house started pushing 85, we searched around and found this company, which had great online reviews. We called, and gave Sam a quick description of the problem, and he said he would be here by 5. (Know that Sam has a pretty thick accent, but he was totally courteous and professional on the phone and in person). He actually showed up a little before 4! He quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. We were cool in no time. When our original A/C guys called us back -- at around 6 pm -- we were happy to tell them that we already had it fixed, thanks to Sam. He charged about what anyone else would have charged, but Sam really wants the business and doesn't just say he's on call 24/7 -- he really *is* on call 24/7.
