We had previously used a and quot;big nameand quot; company , to which our yard was healthy. Started with Acres of Green in early 2013. The whole yard never and quot;greened upand quot; or looked completely healthy, and we had many weeds. When mentioning this to the owners (who do the actual work), they always brushed it off and had an excuse, and weren't receptive to questioning. Acted and quot;offendedand quot;. We feel that they skimped on their application, especially since we had an extra large lawn. You could see the swipes they made in the yard, and the spots that were completely missed with fertilization and seeding.
Only writing this review to spare others the same fate with their yard. We had only switched from the big name company because felt like a number, and we'd had a seeing scheduling problem to which the management didn't work with us on getting them back in a timely manner. The price was basically the same. We've decided to go back to the other company and already after 2 treatments this year, our yard looks and quot;greenand quot; again.
"As owner of Acres of Green and the person who performed ALL of the services on this members' lawn I want to apologize for ever seeming to be offended. I have been a small business owner for 14 years and the cornerstone of my company and the way I raise my children is respect. So I again apologize for ANY offense taken by this member. Acres of Green applied 7 treatments to this lawn (including seeding) (one year of service) and responded twice to "service calls" (at no charge) to respray weeds. I applied the same products and care to this members' lawn as I do to all of my customers and I thought the lawn looked great. Thanks, Bo Guise, Owner"
"As the owner of Acres of Green I first want to say that today 5-8-14 was the first i knew of this review. Secondly, I want to assure this member as well as ANY member that FESCUE lawns cannot be seeded in the Spring with any expectation of success in this region. We realize that TV and radio commercials encourage homeowners to SEED their lawns in the Spring however, Fescue seedlings cannot mature fast enough to with stand the heat of the summer. ALL Fescue seeding must be done in FALL. If Spring seeding is done by a home owner then weed controls cannot be applied as they would kill or damage the fescue seedlings..In this particular case the home owner seeded in the Spring thus not allowing Acres of Green to perform our recommended treatments which lead to a weedy summer for this home owner. Additionally, we encourage ALL of our customers to call us with ANY problems or concerns and we did explain to this member that Spring seeding is NOT recommended and it would lead to a weedy summer lawn. LawnCARE is a partnership and we count on our customer feedback. Thank you. Bo Guise, Owner"
