I would encourage anyone considering using this company to find an alternative.
While the guys who work in the shop or the techs that come to your home were helpful and responsive, the owner is the issue.
My wife was verbally assaulted by the owner of this company and since that episode, we have come to learn that he has done this before to other customers, mostly female customers.
My wife went in to buy pool chemicals and get advice from the techs, who were assisting.
This took some time as it was a complicated issue impacting the chemical makeup of our pool, apparently too much time, b/c the owner came out of the back to yell, curse and kick my wife out of the store, saying she is taking up too much of his employees time.
My wife was very upset, left the store in tears and essentially left in a state of shock for being treated this way.
We have of course stopped going to this company for our pool needs and optimistically hope every time we drive by the store that we will see it has gone out of business.

We signed up for their service at the beginning of the summer.  They opened the pool, and initially everything went well.  Early in July, we began to have a problem with algae, which had never happened before with the old company.  I pointed this out to them and they said they would fix it.  However, the problem got quickly and progressively worse.  The pool became dark opaque green.  I called and spoke with Danny on the phone approx. six times, I was always reassured that they were addressing the issue, but after 1 month of reassurance, my pool remains completely unusable and embarrassing.  I would not recommend their service to anyone, they did not make me feel at all like they cared about the problem.

We hired Summerwind to repaint our pool during the spring of 2012.  They guaranteed the job saying they would repaint the pool if there were any problems.  The paint began to chalk and flake off after three or four months.  We lived with it for a few months and then called them back to have them honor the guarantee.  We made multiple calls to Jay the owner with no response.  We dropped by the store a couple of times until we were able to find him there.  He agreed to repaint the pool per the guarantee.  After several more months of waiting for the repainting to begin, and more unanswered phone calls, we dropped by again.  Their excuse was that it was special paint and it was taking longer than expected to receive it from the manufacturer.  We later learned that they had received the paint but were taking on other "higher priority" jobs before working on ours.  They eventually sent a couple of guys out in the evening in June of 2013.  They started the job but ran out of paint before finishing the job.  The part they did paint was sloppy, with splashes of paint on the tile edging.  Their empty rollers, rags, buckets, used tape, etc.  were left on the floor and outside on the ground.  Again, it took multiple phone calls, to determine status. Jay visited the house in August and promised to order additional paint, clean up the mess, and finish the job.  Following multiple calls to gain a status report with no return call, I visited Summerwind in-person again.  Jay offered more excuses for not completing the work, despite the fact that he had received the additional paint several weeks earlier.  Now, a year and half after we had Summerwind paint the pool initially, it is still not complete.  We been forced to move on and hire another company to complete the work that Summerwind started and was unable to finish.  This was by far the worst contractor experience my wife and I have ever had.

They have come out a couple of times to look at an issue that I was having.  I have had good service from them.  They worked with a contractor that we had to enclose our back deck.  The owner worked with that company in setting the pool down on top of the concrete.  They set up the plumbing and everything.  The service cost was covered under the warranty.  They really pay attention to their relationships with the customer.  The owner was very responsive.  He helped me make a decision about which product to buy.  He came out to my house several times without any contractors.  He just took the chance and made all these visits.  They were very cooperative about working with the construction company when I finally made the decision to buy.  It was a really good experience overall.

The last time I used them, everything was left on but the water was shut off, which casued the pressure to burst the pipes. I had to have all the plumbing redone. They are nice people but were not capable to the work.

I received a call the day before the appt. They told me that they were overwhelmed with work and asked if they could reschedule the appt for the following Monday and I agreed. The appt. was still set for 9am on Monday due to the issue I noted above. On Monday, they showed up at 10:15am. When I called them at 9:45am to find out why they were late, I was told that they didnt leave their office until 9:30am (which was 30 minutes after their scheduled appt with me). When I complained about this, they indicated that they dont normally set definite times and that they did so as a favor to me and did not apologize for their tardiness. So I waited and they showed up at 10:15. The team was very nice. They did a good job on the work that they were able to do however they indicated to me that something was wrong with my pool filter and that it would require a special part and it would take a week for that part to come in. They said they would call me when it did. A week later I recieved a call indicating that the part had come in and that they would try to install the part either Wed, thurs, or Friday of that week but would not give me a definite day because they were so booked. Wed passed....thursday passed... and then they called Friday morning and told me that they would definitely see me that day but would not confirm a time. They told me that they would call me at my apt to let me know when they were ready to leave for my house. I waited until 3pm and when it was looking evident that the opening would not happen I called their offices and asked for the update on what was going on. The rep told me that "they could not determine at this point whether they would be able to see me that day." In anger I told them to cancel the appt and I made arrangement with another company within minutes. Then I got a call from the owner and she said that there was a misunderstanding and that they were coming out that day but still would not commit to a time. I told her that I no longer wanted to do business with them. She indicated to me that she understood my frustration and that I would be charged approximately $150 for the work that they had already done. I said fine. 2 weeks later they charged my card $175.

They are good and they come when they say they are going to come. They fixed it on the first trip. They are kind of expensive. I would tell anybody to use them if you can't fix it yourself. They would be the people to call in Chapel Hill.

Jay Sundee, the owner, came out and explained how the system worked and serviced the pool. He was very patient and informative. Also, I had a conversation with his staff member Cassidy in person at the store. Very impressive young man. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

I had this hot tub for six years and they were the ones who installed it too. They even poured the concrete and slab that it sits on. This was the one and only problem I had with it and they fixed it right away. They were very good about answering my questions. They can actually provide you with information on what they are saying. They are great.

THE PANEL WOULD NOT WORK SO THEY SENT SOMEBODY OUT TO FIX IT. IT WORKED FOR A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME AND QUIT AGAIN. THEY WERE VERY NICE PEOPLE BUT THEY KEPT SENDING INEXPERIENCED PEOPLE OUT HERE TO FIX THE SAME PROBLEM AND IT COST US LOTS OF MONEY.
