We used to go there for the regular cat treatments and we left because they were so expensive. Expensive across the board.

We have been using them for 13 years.  All the veterinarians are really great and incredibly compassionate.  They really go out of their way to help.

They are a little expensive. They are on the high price side, but well worth it. They cured my dog of heartworm, which was pretty iffy in those days. They did a fabulous job there. They referred us to a surgeon when our dog needed surgery. They have been very good all the way around. They take excellent care of our pets. I never have a moment of hesitation about going there. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

From the first day I went to The Animal Hospital to do an intro exam to the cat I adopted from the shelter a few days before, I have loved the combination of friendly staff and vets, with up to date medical care. My prior cat had a vet who was not as current on new treatments, and she suffered more than she should have because there were new treatments available to help her. Dr Anderson and Dr Dorsch keep up to date on research and treatments, but they don't go crazy with recommendations unless absolutely warranted. I went through a major scare two years ago when my cat collapsed twice in a month, and both of them walked me carefully through observation and basic lab work while advising me not to go overboard with other expensive tests until we had a first base of knowledge. They paid a lot of attention to the symptoms of my cat, and did do some labs and tests, and their thoughtful, attentive course of action led to a diagnosis and treatment which have made sure that the symptoms have not recurred. They managed my cat and me very well through a hard time, and they did it by using a lot of medical tools, but not being excessive. They are always very thorough and patient in explaining my cat's condition and giving me information about why they are recommending certain actions, always being clear that it's my decision. I have seen them engage with different patients, and their manner and approach is tailored to the individual pet owner. I adopted an older cat from the shelter, and he had no health problems the first year, so we probably saw the vet twice, but he boarded a lot, and then he developed a major health issue which is now under control, thanks to them, so he sees them for medical care still probably a few times a year, but he is there for boarding at least once per month. I could not be more happy with his treatment or his boarding, and I love that he can do both at the same place with the same people.

I made an appointment to bring my dogs in as we weren't thrilled with our old vet. I showed up with the dogs about 10 minutes before the appointment to complete paperwork, etc. I was eventually shown into an exam room where we waited and waited and waited. After waiting for 1 hour - 1 1/4 hours past our appointment time, with no communication whatsoever from the staff, I walked out and told them we were leaving. Their response was and quot;oh, well, I'm sure the vet would have gotten to you soon.and quot; Thanks, but no thanks.

The price is a little high. I would take my dog to them again in the future.

Our veterinarian is Dr. Dorsch, who is fabulous in every way. Dr. Dorsch is incredibly knowledgeable and caring. He always examines our pets thoroughly and spends a great deal of time explaining things to us. He often follows up after our appointments with a phone call to see how our cats are doing and to check and see if we have any additional questions. Dr. Dorsch was particularly helpful and sensitive when our 16-year cat became ill and eventually passed away. I cannot imagine a better vet or practice. Highly recommend.

Our veterinarian was very professional and handles our freaked-out cat well. Our cat was dealing with a recent move, a new cat in the house we were taking care of temporarily, and a sore chin; she was not happy about the vet visit. The vet and tech both handled her very well, and the antibiotics did the trick for the infection on her chin. She's all better now, and we'll be going back to this vet.

On a side note, this clinic has separate seating areas for cat owners and dog owners - a nice touch.

I have seen 3 vets in this practice and I would be comfortable taking my dog to any of them. They are really good with my animals. Anytime anyone moves in to town and has pets I recommend Animal Hospital of Carrboro. I don't think taking your dog to the vet should cost that much!

Make your kennel reservations early as they tend to book out. Take your pet's favorites - food, toys, etc.

They have always been very caring. We switched to them from a different vet that I decided didn't like animals. They also included services on our bill that hadn't been provided. I like this place because everything is upfront. You can ask any question and they don't try to sell you on anything. Their billing has always been accurate and they really like animals.

Even though this kennel was high in price, they took excellent care of my dogs. Their runs were the cleanest I've ever seen. They walk the dogs four times a day and they administered medication accurately to my 12 and a half year old dog. The animal hospital even had a run as a viewing section. I found the animal hospital staff extremely friendly and could see that they loved their work and loved the dogs and cats they took care of.

THE PERFORMANCE THIS COMPANY SHOWS IS GREAT. THEY ADORE OUR CAT, AND TREAT HIM VERY WELL. OUR CAT LOVES THEM. THEIR FACILITY IS VERY NEAT AND CLEAN WITH A COURTEOUS STAFF.
