BE AWARE! You shouldn't hire this person, but if you do, don't pay him before he is all done. The worst experience I have ever had with a person doing any kind of work in my house. He is rude and unkind. I hired him to do some work in my house, and was naive enough to give him over 12K (more than 90% of the final total) before he finished up the job. He promised to deliver a well done job in 10-12 days. Started the job 38 days ago, kept giving me all kinds of excuses since day one, and today he was supposed to come finish the work and didn't show up. He had the audacity of blocking my phone number and my husbands too. Out of nowhere! He had told me yesterday that he would be here today at 8AM to get it done. He never called to explain why he didn't show up. I emailed him asking for an explanation, and he responded with the most unprofessional and rude response I have ever received from anyone. I have been very flexible and cordial, even after all the excuses and lies that he kept making up from day 1. He left walls with no shoe molding, an unfinished bathroom, unfinished kitchen shelves and unfinished living room. He was also supposed to build and install a barn door, and never did so. On his lovely email he said "you can get a door for $300 and pay someone a days labor for them to install your shelves and door!" What?! I don't even have the correct number of shelves because of his incompetence. The painters I hired to paint after Robert were not pleased with the type of work he did, and all the damages he did to my walls. They told me to please inform Robert that they would not come back to touch up things if he messed up walls while installing the shelves because they had already finished up their painting job. I told Robert about the painter's comment/warning, and he wrote on his email that he thinks I made that up. Again... What? How would I benefit from making that up? If those words had come out of my own mouth, I would own up to it with no problem. I paid a lot of money to get some job done and would be entitled to asking this guy to be gentle to my walls/house. He is absolutely out of his mind! Beyond unprofessional. I regret ever allowing a human being like him to come into my home! This guy should be ashamed of himself and the way he handles his business. He is a fraud! Stay away! If you want proof that my words are accurate and honest, please feel free to reach out to me. I will be happy to forward all the text messages and emails I have exchange with Robert. Update: I had a real professional come out and look at the ****** job that Robert did, and now I understand why he walked away before completing the work. The installation of the solid wood floating shelves is a lot more intricate than I thought, and Robert must have realized that he was incapable of finishing the job. The person that came out was shocked by the poor quality of the job done by Robert, and felt sorry for me. I am even more aggravated now, and am contemplating taking legal action. DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS PERSON! You will regret it just as much as I do.
