Anthony A. Serrao took a substantial amount of money for me to remodel a bathroom. The contract stated 3-4 weeks, weather permitting. He started the Job about Jan. 14th, and it is still no where near complete as of April 16th, now three months later. In looking at complaints filed by others on the BBB, Yelp and Homeadvisor sites, this is an ongoing pattern, one being 40 weeks as reported with unfinished work. Mr. Serrao takes money, promises the world, and does not finish the work. He always has excuses, but it is never his fault, as someone else or some other circumstance is to blame. He threatens with litigation, yells at you on the phone, is rude, does not give you material you have paid for, and in my case, his subs are now calling me for payment. In my opinion this is akin to a Ponzi scheme, using the latest customer's money to pay for the first, while living off of the rest. The workmanship is terrible (he has admitted that saying he will fix it and hasn't), as he finds subs while walking in Lowes, or advertising on Craigslist as he himself has related. Once he has a financial dispute with them, you won't see them again. READ the other complaints carefully. See what they all have in common. Everyone can't be wrong! Based upon my personal experience and that of the other complainants, one would be very well advised to think twice about ever using this company. Tony comes on sweet, shows you great photos of work he has allegedly done, (no idea if the photos are truthfully his), requires large deposits and then, you get to find out what he is really like and it is unpleasant, unprofessional, and uncaring to say the least! We have stayed home almost daily for the three months without the use of our master bathroom or bedroom, hoping he would show up after telling us he would, day after day, week after week, and sadly, it doesn't happen with any consistency. Days and weeks have gone by with absolutely no work being performed. If you tell him you are going to make a complaint or call your lawyer, you may get to see him. This has been the WORST business experience I have EVER encountered!
