GREEN ROOFING

The work was very satisfactory. Replacing the carport roof was a bit tricky due to some existing conditions, but the team did what was needed, making several site visits to complete the work. Kenneth Green was very responsive throughout, was pleasant to work with, and although very busy, they worked in our project in our timeline. I would recommend them for future roofing projects.

Owner Kenneth Green did an inspection of our leaking garage roof and provided an estimate.Once we decided on a color he was here within 3 days with 6 workers. 90% of the work was finished the first day and completed the next. Great clean up and very nice employees. He also looked at a small leak in the house roof and did some small repairs in the hope that it was fixed. During the next big rain the leak was still there but greatly reduced. He came back today and did some more work on the suspected leak and said he would keep coming back until we had it stopped. He has not charged us for any of the extra work! He also inspected the entire roof and found some questionable places but did not say it had to be done right away (as if trying to get more business) but was honest in saying we could get a few more years out of it. These are great guys, very honest, and do a very good job. I would recommend them without hesitation!

We had hail damage in September 2012. I had estimates given by four companies. Kenneth Green's estimate was the lowest, and I was suspect of the difference. Checking with Angie's List and with two friends, I decided to give him a try. Because we had no leaking damage, we agreed to wait until the more urgent roofing jobs were completed. He thought it would be November before he could start. I checked back with him in November, and he was still backlogged. Ultimately, he came by in January with roofing samples. We made our choice, and his crew began work a week later. The workers were extremely nice. I have never had workmen at my house that were more pleasant and hard working. The temperature dropped into the teens, but they (3 workmen) were able to complete the removal and replacement of my roof in 3 1-2 days. I have done some roofing for Habitat and on my own house, so I am familiar with what steps should be taken and what a roof should look like at completion. The roof was absolutely perfect. The lines were perfectly straight, the peaks and valleys smooth and precise, and finally, there clean up was remarkable. Actually, there wasn't much need for clean up as they were very good at keeping there work site free from clutter as they went. We were out of town when they completed work. Ken came by after we returned, and I paid him the agreed upon amount plus a $300 tip for his workman. I have never had as pleasant an experience with people working on my house as I had with Kenneth Green Roofers. I strongly recommend them! FYI, my insurance company gave me a check for the damage which did not include replacing the entire roof, but it still more than covered my expense and tip.

I agreed to Greens proposal on Sept.2,2012. I was told there was a 4 to 6 weeks wait for the work to begin. I reality it took about 10 weeks before the work was completed. Once the work began it progressed pretty smoothly. The roof looks good, and the price was fair. The did a poor job removing nails from the yard after the work was complete, and the gutter guards were not installed correctley. They did a better job when I asked them to return. There was a small leak around one of the chimneys that was fixed the day after I reported the problem. The main problem was the long delay before the work started.
