They did a fair job. The person of the firm was not here all the time and the work was left incomplete. I had a general contractor who I knew and he did some of the work as I did not want them back. I also had to get another carpenter. They did some expensive tile work as well. So far the work they have done is good. I had to call them back for a few things.

Heath is very personable and prompt in answering phone calls before the job. He made "Special" pricing discounts to meet the cost restrictions I had. Some material aspects of the job needed to be cut back from other estimates I had gotten and were agreed upon. The starting and ending dates had to be postponed due to weather. After starting the job, it still took longer than expected. Heath did not supervise the job as he had indicated he would. He was more interested in getting another business started. The crew was friendly but not a regular crew. They were friends whose business was bad and they were helping Heath out. Some details of the job were not discussed beforehand and caused concern during the job but I felt I had no recourse once felt was left off half the house and roofing applied before the hole in the roof was patched. The roof patch done from the inside was not of the material specified in the contract and seems messily done. Here again, I didn't feel I could get it redone once installed. Clean up was not done well. They did not place tarps to catch all the debris inside the house and garage when taking off the roof. Even with having the crew come back a second time for cleanup, I still have a lot cleanup to do myself. Pieces of asphalt and grit and roofing nails cover the attic insulation and everything in my garage, and are scattered in my lawn aroung the house. The men on the job started out by putting ice breaks over the fron door and said they would put them over all doors, but, left the job without them. Heath came by for payment saying he had written checks to the crew which he couldn't cover. So, I gave him a check and a list of the things which had not been completed. I had seen leftover sheets of roofing material for completing the ice breaks before they left. When they returned the next week to complete the unfinished tasks, tiny pieces of metal roofing were cut and screwed on top of the roof rather than being shaped of larger sheets and installed under the lip of the roof as the first ones had been. That was how I expected the job to be done. I was not able to get the roof quarantee and tax credit paperwork from Heath. Once he received his last check, he stopped answering my calls or messages. He gave me a five year quarantee on the workmanship but doesn't answer calls. I think sheets of leftover material and the excess special screws I paid for should have been left with me for possible future use or I should have at least been consulted before their removal.

First, you can't help but like Heath Slavin. He's upbeat and hustles. There were serious problems with the quality of some of the work performed, however. One long joint where the wall met the ceilng in the attic looked more like a snake than a straight line. I called it to Heath's attention, and he corrected it fine. Their pressure washer broke down and they had to rent a substitute which didn't have the capability of adding cleaner, so the trim up high just got water. The operator of the pressure washer apparently didn't know much about the job, and he stripped paint from wood in a number of places, and even stripped out the top layer of the composite concrete siding. When I called all this to Heath's attention it also was corrected to my complete satisfaction. Additionally, the concrete step was to be two levels, and they did only one, and I'm completely unsatisfied with the one level that actually was done. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until I had already paid in full for the job and the crew had left. I had difficulty contacting Heath to tell him about this additional problem, and only succeded when I decided to use his wife as a go between. It's been two weeks now since he said he'd come back & fix the steps, and I haven't seen anything of him yet. Finally, most of the crew was very polite and cleaned up after themselves meticulously. The folks who did the concrete (I didn't see who they were) used my hose, left it and the hose wand pretty well covered with concrete residue, and didn't bother to put it back.

Heath and his crew showed up in-between our rainy days and worked hard and long in the sun to complete the job. Now the house looks great.

It went great. Heath and his crew were very professional and courteous. They did a great job with the roof and did it in a relatively quick time. They did a good job cleaning up the job sight and were always considerate of my home, my dogs, and my personal living space. I work from home so this was important to me. They also did a phenomenal job of painting the living room on the main floor of my house as well. Your Castle is a well-run company and I think they provide good value for their customers.

The intial project went well. In fact, the owner of tis company works directly with the other employees on the job and creates a trusting and honest personality. After observing there job quaility and the integrity of the employees for a few days, I decided to continue using there service for additional work, and had the peace of mind to leave them in my home working while I was out of town. I will update this report upon my return to the completed job.

Heath was extremely patient and helpful during the initial inquiry and estimating process. He did additional research to answer our questions. He found samples that we needed to make a quality decision. He provided a highly competitive quote (we checked with 2 other roofers). Heath communicated frequently to make sure we were comfortable with the pace of the project and to let us know how things were proceeding. His crew was timely and pleasant to have around the house during the project. They were respectful of our privacy and took cares to not damage the landscaping and the rain gutters. They cleaned up well when the project was completed. The project was done on time. The end result has been as planned several months later.

He has not done anything without consulting me. He is absolutely wonderful. On occasion he has worked on other jobs, but it was not excessive, and it was during times he was waiting for materials. I cannot think of anything bad, and I cannot say enough good things about him.

I called for an estimate and Heath came out within 24 hours to look at the proposed project. He then asked several questions to ensure that he was estimating exactly what we wanted. With 72 hours of his visit to our home he sent in an estimate for $15,850. He told us at this time that the tub and other materials may be more or less depending on the brands that we selected. Once the estimate was complete we spoke with Heath several times on options. He was very helpful and informative to us as we made our finally selections. We signed a contract with Your Castle Remodeling Co on April 2, 2008 and the job began the following week, we were told the the job could take up to 6 weeks, but Your Castle Remodeling finished the job in 4.5 weeks. We couldn't be more satisfied with the performance of Your Castle Remodeling Co. They left our home in excellent condition, the construction debris was cleaned and looked as though construction had never taken place. This was also very pleasing, one thing that I notice that is different about Your Castle Remodeling Co that sets them apart from all the rest is the care that is taken in protecting our home from construction traffic and debris. I was a wonderful experience, Your Castle Remodeling Company restored our faith in contractors.
