Rooftop Construction

Ask for an estimate to replace my roof, he wrote an estimate for one amount, then he said he'd contact my homeowners insurance for a supplemental amount. He said he thought I wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket and then he asked me to sign a cotnract. I happen to be blind and said, I'm sorry I'm just taking estimates and will need to get help before signing anything. My neighbor used the same company for roof replacement and noticed that they did the job in one day and all the workers just spoke Spanish. I don't think you can replace a roof in one day; it sounds like a quick job. This guy was very pushy and I had to be pretty firm in telling him that I'm just taking estimates. He said OK, but I was displeased that he even asked.
