Candler Veterinary Clinic

Dr. Lack is the vet and she is very good. We would give her all "A"s.

I always feel a little bit challenging to work with and I always feel guilty when I go there. The last time my dog was sick they said they couldn’t see him for a nearly week. So I was irritated that they didn’t have any emergency appointments.

The Vet seemed caring and fairly competent however, the office staff was not helpful nor forthcoming.  We have taken our dog and cat there for three years and have never gotten vaccination reminders.  Last spring when our dog was sick we took her and they also gave her a Rabies shot as they couldn't find her records.   they said they had no record on her but did have one on the cat.  One of the office personnel recommended that it could have happened when AVA and they split.  When I called AVA asking for that record they said all of those records had been purged.  I asked Candler vet to contact our previous vet and let us know what vaccinations they thought there due.  They said they would.  They did not nor have they EVER contacted us about the cats vaccines .  When we tried to adopt another homeless, abandoned dog they told the rescue agency that we had only ever been there once with our animals even though they had the records of the cat showing differently.  When I asked Candler Vet why they had not sent the vaccination reminders they said that maybe the Postman had returned them.  Really?

I have used this clinic for a long time. Recently there has been a major change of staff. When I went to get maintenance food for my cat I was told that I would have to schedule an appointment to see the Doctor. I have spent thousands on my cat at this clinic, and I love him dearly, but times have gotten so bad that I cant even afford to go to the doctor, but my doctor still provides me with the maintenance meds I need to survive. The Veterinarian made a feeble excuse as to why the staff member insisted on the extra visit, stress on my cat, and extra fee for a maintenance diet but it didn't float. The staff was rude and inconsiderate to a long time client because they wanted to generate new business funds to a failing out datad business.

I enjoyed the vet and her staff. I only reated punctuality as a B because I had to wait past my appointment time, but it was only because there had been two emergencies that morning. I would hope that if my pets had emergencies she would do the same for me.

Everything went well and my cat experienced minimal stress.

They're wonderful, very nice, good and reasonable. I've had Candler Veterinary Clinic for 13 years and they've been very reliable.
