They were on time, did have some problems with there equipment, but got the job done.

I called them on Saturday the 28th. They were the middle price of the 3 I looked into. Said they could possibly do it by early Thursday but called me this morning and wanted to do it today. The other 2 companies were 2 weeks out or more. Great work. Friendly guys. Thorough.

After reviewing Angie's List for a service to remove problem trees, I chose Banks Tree Service due to excellent reviews. I contacted Clyde Banks and he was able to come out the next afternoon to evaluate the situation and give me an estimate. I thought the estimate was reasonable given the number of trees and the fact that my land is on the side of a hill with very little level area. The work began at 8:30 the following Monday. Mr. Banks brought two trucks and a chipper. His crew began work immediately and were finished and gone by 3 in the afternoon. Since the bucket truck could not reach most of the trees, Mr Banks expertly climbed the trees, roped off the limbs and brought the trees down with no damage to any part of my property. I had requested that some of the mulch be left with me. This was done neatly in a specific area and the rest was removed from the property. All of the wood was removed as well. The property was cleaned and straightened.
Mr Banks' crew were efficient and friendly. Mr. Banks conducted this operation in a very professional manner and I will call him again as there are more trees that will need to be pruned or removed in the near future. I feel that I got more than my money's worth by calling Bank's Tree Service.

Ben and  his helper showed up the day after Christmas and removed a large fallen pine tree that was on my house and camper. They took care to not damage my property any more than it was. It did not take them long as they had all the proper tools needed. They came the following day with more help and hauled everything away. They were very nice and I would use them again if needed.

Wow!  Ben is amazing -- I called him for an estimate on taking down a tree at a job site.  He arrived promptly, gave me a great price and did the work as soon as weather permitted.  He went the extra mile, was courteous, was delightful, and affordable.

Banks Tree Service personnel came to my residence the same day (1/7/2013) that I called requesting an estimate.  A very large
and heavy hickory tree growing on my property had fallen through a chain link fence that bordered my property.  I also wanted
a pine tree removed which was leaning against the chain link fence and would soon become a problem.  Mr. Banks and his son visited my property, and we discussed details of how the job would be done.  The very next day (1/8/2013), a four man work crew,including Mr. Banks, and his son arrived early in the morning and within 2 hours had removed both trees.  They sawed the trees into sections, transported them in a pickup truck from the back of my property through my large side yard, and then loaded the
wood into a heavier box truck.  This technique was used to make sure my lawn was not damaged.  I was very impressed with
the quality of work done and the efficient process that was used to complete the job, and said so at the time.  I would highly
recommend that Banks Tree Service be used by anyone needing to have trees removed from their property.

1.  I will definitely use them again if tree services are needed.
2.  You must realize that Mr. Banks and his son are "good ole boys" in the most flattering sense of the term.  Their word is their bond and their handshake means something to them.
3.  My only negative comment is that they forgot to cut down the last section off the dead tree stump.  The son, in the bucket, cut the tree down so far, then moved over to the second tree.  This is partly my fault for not checking the site closer before they left.  This is not a problem for me because I can take the last section down myself the next time I take out my chainsaw.

They did an excellent job. They were very clean. I was very pleased with them. I thought he was pricey but since they wereh highly recommended in Angie's list so I got them. But, after watching them take the trees down and what they had to go through and the work they had to do after the trees were down, it was worth it.

I had some trees close to the house and some of their branches were laying on the roof.  I had Banks Tree Service come a couple years ago to remove some large dead Carolina Hemlocks and they did a great job for a fair price, so I had them back to do some trimming.  They actually took out one little weedy hemlock that was crowding a dogwood and Magnolia.  They trimmed all the trees using a bucket truck, chipped up all the debris and hauled it off.  They did a fine job for a fair price.  They particularly did a great job trimming an overgrown magnolia tree.  Worked on it like a sculptor!  I was afraid it might look bare, but it looks great.  My house can breath again!  I would have them back to do more work when I need to.

They did a superb job.  I've never seen a group of people take  a massive tall tree and put it down to where nothing fell.  It all came down by cable.  It was fantastic.  We had a 6 foot tall fence on the other side and not once did anything come close to touching it.  The truck was 7 feet wide.   It had been growing since 1923. They swept up and cleaned up.  Other than the tree missing you couldn't tell they had been there.  They were very nice and professional people, they were friendly.

Clyde Banks, Jr. came to our home to provide an estimate for the work that we wanted done.  He arrived on time and proved to be very courteous and knowledgeable.  Clyde readily identified each tree that was to be cut and explained how he would accomplish the job.  The estimate that he provided was reasonable, I thought, since all of the trees had to be done "manually" (i.e. a truck couldnt' be brought in due to the trees' locations).  On work day, Clyde and his two-man team arrived on time on the scheduled date and completed the job by the early afternoon.  They cut down two large locust trees and two large white ash trees, cut down one shoot off another smaller white ash and trimmed a couple of dead branches off a wild cherry tree.  They removed and reinstalled a section of our chain link fence to cut down of one of the trees, and Clyde cut up some of the larger trunks so that I could finish them off and split them for firewood.

I highly recommend Banks Tree Service and I will use them again if I need any more tree work done

The experience was very satisfactory. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. They did everything that I expected them to do. They had very good equipment. They were very professional. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

They had the proper equipment (a logging truck with mounted crane) and they were able to gently remove the tree off of our house without further damaging the house.  Then they quickly mulched the entire tree into their truck and ground the stump.  Job well done and a satisfied customer.

I got Mr. Bank's name from Angie's list, and gave him a call. We set a date for him to come out and look at the work I wanted done.
He was here, promptly, on that day and gave me an estimate for the work. The estimate was very reasonable and he was here, with his crew, on the work day agreed upon.
They went right to work, and by the end of the day the work was completed. All the large and small limbs were ground up, for mulch, 
the large logs were hauled off. They put the mulched material where I asked them to, and cleaned up all the small twigs and such.
I was very pleased with the work, and I am having them back in the spring to remove more trees.
I highly recommend Banks Tree Service to anyone. They are AAA in my book.

We paid quite a bit. They showed up when they said that they would show up. They brought a crew. They gave us an eight hour work day. They did an excellent job. When we asked them to do some extra work, they did. They worked hard and their work was good. Their price was good. They were good old country boys but they got the job done. We would hire them again in a New York second.

I spoke with Clyde Banks and he came out and gave me an estimate of the job. Clyde returned and performed all work as promised. I thought his price was more than fair and would not hesitate to use him again. Clyde was professional and very personable.

 I received excellent service from this business.  There were a number of trees that needed to be felled - I think eventually it came out to 8-9 trees, some of them quite large.  The men were here two days - they knew their business and conducted themselves professionally, cleaning up the debris and being extremely careful not to disturb the remaining vegetation.  Considering the amount of work done, his price was very reasonable.  I would definitely use them again, but hopefully won't ever have to.

Clyde came out and walked around the yard with me as we talked about which trees we wanted removed.  He grasped the situation quickly and offered a few suggestions.  The estimate he gave was very reasonable.  Clyde and his team came out two days later and removed 6 trees and trimmed up a large maple.  They worked very hard and did a great job. They chipped up most of the wood and brush and left neat piles to compost in the places we had designated.  They hauled away the largest wood per our request.  Clyde is very knowledgeable and was very willing to share what he knows about trees and shrubs.  He had great suggestions regarding what would work well in the situation we were dealing with (a very overgrown yard).  They were careful not to harm other trees and shrubs and the rhododendrons that we were attempting to uncover.  I was especially impressed with Clyde's skill in pruning the large maple tree and he suggested actions that would bring greater health to the tree.  Clyde was easy to communicate with and I felt he listened to what I wanted and made sure the result matched my expectations.  All in all, a great experience.  Yes, I will have them back again!
