This handyman was recommended to me by Angie's List as well. I hired Joey to fix holes in my drywall and open up a doorway to make it larger. Initially I hired him back in December of 2024 and gave a deposit of $250 but due to issues with my house the work was not able to be done until June of this year. Once I was able to get the work completed Joey stated he could start the work on my house at the beginning of June. I paid another $900 for cost of materials and labor ( which was approx half of agreed upon cost of total project). He did not show up to complete the work on the agreed upon date and time. I started texting and calling him asking for my deposit back as he did not complete the work done on my house. Initially he did not respond to my txt and phone calls. On July 3rd he finally responded and told me he was going to refund the total of $1150. They he stopped responding again to my messages. Then it appears the next week he has just been arrested again for larceny.

Initially reached out back on I believe 5/14, was notified that he could start 5/16. Once he started, agreed to price of 1900 and paid 1450 for supplies and initial labor. He started and after 2 weeks he only installed 3 post. It's weird due to him leaving tools and additional supplies in the backyard. If possible would like refund of $1450 if contractor can not be reached due to lack of communication for the last week.

We reached out to Angi to find a reputable contractor for a deck project. Angi recommended J and K Home Improvement and Cleaning Services, and we were contacted by William Joseph Moore with a quote. Mr. Moore promised to start the project on June 2, 2025, but required a deposit upfront to secure our spot on his calendar and to order materials. We signed the contract on May 22, 2025, and paid a total deposit of $3,725 ($1,000 in cash and $2,725 by check), which covered the cost of materials and half of the labor. Mr. Moore assured us that materials would be delivered the week before the start date. As the date approached, we reached out to him multiple times for updates. After delayed responses, he cited rain as the cause for the delay but assured us we were still on schedule. He later stated that materials would either be delivered over the weekend or brought the day the work began. It is now the end of the day on June 2, 2025, and we have not received any further communication. No materials have been delivered, and no work has started. After further research, we discovered that William Joseph Moore has a criminal record, including multiple arrests in Moore County and Harnett County, North Carolina, for serious offenses.

Kourtney & Joey did excellent job cleaning house. House was in terrible condition but they got the job done.
