We paid for the unit and installation of all new ductwork under our house in July of 2014. We were very happy with the crew, they were polite and worked quickly. Once the job was complete, they left a bunch of unused new ductwork and misc parts in my garage and never returned for them. I called Robin and he came over right away and picked them up. Robin and his wife seemed like such honest, nice people, we were happy with the job and it was finished on time. FAST FORWARD ONE YEAR...this week I am having major remodeling done in my kitchen. The floor has been removed down to the crawl space and is being replaced. Imagine my surprise when I look between the foundation joists and see runs of old, torn up ductwork, with one duct not even connected! Just blowing my heat and a/c into the great outdoors! For the last 2 days I have been frantically calling RJR and getting some attitude from the woman that answers the phone. This morning CJ finally came over, and we looked at it together. It turns out 3 runs and ducts were NOT replaced, and one duct was NEVER CONNECTED. I was a little unsettled over the last year, because my energy bills with this new, energy efficient unit have not been much lower than they were with the 15 year old clunker that was replaced. I guess now I know why! It is very disappointing to think that such a company would do HALF of the work that was paid for, but especially taking advantage of a hard working ER nurse. Lesson learned, I will put on my Carhart coveralls and inspect every single inch of any work I pay for in the future, even if that means crawling under the house!
Description of Work: Installed new Trane HVAC unit (gas pack) and all new ductwork.
