We called Fire Safe Chimney Sweep and Solar Innovations for a second opinion with regard to recommended repairs to our fireplaces.  They scheduled the inspection even though it was a very busy time of year for chimney cleaning.  The inspectors arrived on time and were very professional.  They did a thorough inspection and told us that our fireplaces did not need any major work at this time.  They said that the fireplaces were clean and ready to use.  We were delighted that they did not agree with the estimate of needed repairs recommended by another company.  We will certainly use their services for future cleaning and repairs and highly recommend them.  Thanks to the great crew at Fire Safe Chimney!

They did an excellent job.

Mr. Perera and his assistant were a pleasure to work with.  They quickly fixed the cap on my chimney and then inspected my other chimney with the woodstove.  Mr. Perera was very accommodating and checked the alignment of my woodstove's heat sensor, making adjustments to maximize heating efficiency.

Excellent as usual. The team arrived on time, completed a thorough inspection, told me what needed to be done, and answered my questions. There was enough film on the chimney interior that it needed to be cleaned so they brought in the big vac and took care of that. There was a small crack in the concrete base of the fireplace which was repaired with a special compound. The two men were professional, courteous, knew what they were doing, completed the job efficiently, took good care not to get anything dirty, and gave good advice on ongoing operation of the fireplace.
Fire Safe Chimney Sweep has come out each year for several years now for routine inspection, maintenance and repairs now and then and the service has remained consistently excellent.

It went very well. Both men clearly knew what they were doing and they had all the right parts and equipment with them. They didn't even talk much, just quietly worked together and got it all done in no time. It wasn't cheap but for something like this I would rather pay a specialist who knows exactly what is needed and has a lot of experience in cutting holes in people's rooves. Bob is knowledgeable about fire safety. He added a steel shield to the back of the fireplace, which was cracked, and replaced the base and cap on the chimney with more solid and effective looking pieces. The installation looked very solid. I feel confident that my fireplace and chimney now will function properly.

The owner, Bob and his crew came out to inspect our chimney (we have used them for inspections and cleanings for years).
Bob let us know that there were numerous in cracks our flue lining (1954 vintage), making the chimney dangerous to use. He recommended that we have a new stainless liner put in which would be safer to use and easier to clean in the future. We scheduled the job. Bob and his crew did an excellent job. They are skilled and professional. Bob is one of the most straight-forward, honest and nice and quot;guysand quot; I have worked with.

First class, came on time, courteous and professional.

I hire Fire Safe to clean my fireplace once a year. They are efficient, have the know-how to prevent chimney fires, and are current or retired fire fighters. I came from forest fire land (southern California) so I want to make certain that my house won't go up in flames because of residue in my fireplace.

Excellent. From initial phone contact, staff was polite, professional and informative. Very careful to keep debris contained and hearth area clean. Bob and Donnel were great. Quick and efficient services.

Bob as always, was extremely professional and efficient. He came in with all the necessary equipment and tools to handle both jobs in less than 11/2 hours. I have been using this company for about 8 years or so.

Bob and his crew came out and cleaned my chimney, removed dead birds, removed a damaged chimney cap and placed a copper cap on my chimney. They were on time, very professional, and knowledgeable. I will be telling all of my friends to use this company. I felt very comfortable with Bob and his workers.

Quick and thorough.

They are firefighters around the area. They are certified. They were real clean and didn't mess the place up, which was nice. They were good and the price was good. They were very professional. We've used them a couple of times.

I scheduled about 2 weeks in advance, and they arrived on time and finished the work in about 2 hours. They were polite and professional, cleaned up after themselves and explained all the costs to me and why certain work needed to be done.

I called for an appointment and reminded them that they had previously cleaned my chimney. I was quoted $129 for the job. I asked for the same person to do the work as before and they said he was "on vacation" and he would be back in two weeks. So they made the appointment for three weeks out. The person who showed up in three weks was not the person I asked for, He looked at my roof and then at my fireplace and said the job would need two guys and that I should make another appointment. So I called again and waited another two weeks. At the appointed time, two guys did show, but again not the requested person. They looked at my roof and said they would have to clean the chimney from inside my house and not from the roof. I am not sure why as the previous cleaning by the same company was done from the roof. So they fumbled around with a brush in my living room trying to clean the chimney from below. I have a two story house and the access to the tall chimney is from a very small wall duct. Therefore, so this is not any easy nor a very effective approach. After about 20 minutes, they "finished" and told me it would be $159, or $30 more than I was quoted. I called the manager/owner and he finally agreed to the original $129 price. I was not happy with the delays, nor the poor job done, nor the attempt to inflate the price. They knew my fireplace and my roof from their previous work. I will not use this company again.

First, they arrived on time. They went to work quickly and explained everything they were going to do. They brought in mats to protect our floors, used the vacuum to clear all ash and cleared out the bird nest. They were quick (in and out in less 30 minutes), and when they left, there was no sign of them having been there.

Timely, friendly and clean. Visual inspection and brush up chimney with vac at bottom. Not rocket science but I do not own a chimney brush nor do I wish to use my home vac for the soot. Only concern was that vac was stand alone and not based in truck so I was worried about dust from vac. However, there was no problem.

The men who did the work were very professional, nice, and informative. They gave me a choice of caps, and recommended a less expensive one for purposes of keeping out birds (the more expensive one is for show). The cost was more than expected because I got an aluminum cap which will last longer and it alone cost over $100.00. The sweeping costs were very reasonable.
