Barber Heating & Air

Barber heating and air put a new unit in my house. They were the nicest guys Dillion and Justin. You couldn’t ask for better service, very professional, respectful, and everything was cleaned up before they left and you couldn’t tell they were ever here!! I would definitely recommend them for all your heating and air issues.

Called on 5.6 had same day service renewed my service contract With Barber heating and Air. Technician replaced my a part on my AC and did my service call within 1 hour I had cool air blowing in my home. I highly recommend Barber Heating and Air fast and reasonable with exceptional service.

The price varies all over the lot considering what we’ve got them doing. The quality of the work is excellent. They stand behind to what they do. It seems to hold 8:58 to 8:59 to have them back but didn’t.

The serviceman was quick and prompt to my call. He quickly identified the fault and then retrieved the part from his shop and installed it. All said from initial call to completion 2 1/2 hrs. I imagine that's hard to beat.

This experience could not have gone better. Barber was able to book us an appointment, very promptly, during an early spring heat wave. Then Tim was so professional and helpful. Again, the best technician I have ever had come out, for anything, ever. He worked so hard to clean everything outside, despite the heat. Very impressed and thankful!

I've been noticing some noise with my gas pac furnace for several weeks and when we returned home from being out of town for a week, we had no heat in the house.  I knew what was wrong.  The noise I had discovered earlier was coming from the draft inducer motor / fan inside my gas pac HVAC unit.  I checked again, but this time, the motor was not running at all.   Our home was down to 53 degrees with several more hours before the warmth of daylight.

The next morning, I checked Angie's List and found Barber Heating and Air, based in my town of Burlington, NC.   I called them around 10am, after waiting on a call back from the previous company I had used.  The lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful.  I explained my problem to her and said my wife was home waiting on someone to arrive to fix this problem.  She said she would have one of their technicians call my wife as soon as they became available.  I inquired if she knew how long it would be and she said it would definitely be today, likely within the hour or so.

After about 1 hour, I checked with my wife and she had not received a call.  She had errands to run and was getting impatient after waiting around all morning for a service call.  I called back to Barber and spoke with the same friendly woman.  I asked if she could have a tech just call my wife with a rough idea of what time they may be by there.  If it was going to be a few hours, my wife could leave and run her errands.  If they were closer to being there, she would wait.  

My wife called back within a few minutes and said that "Tim" with Barber was enroute and would be there in 10 mins.  Wow, now that as fast.  Tim arrived about 20 mins later, checked out the problem, and discovered what I thought it was, the draft inducer fan motor was bad.  He said they had one at the shop and he would remove our old one and return within a hour or so.  My wife said he returned to the house within 90 mins.   She left the house to run errands, but called Barber HVAC's office and provided them with our payment info over the phone.  She then asked Tim to place a copy of the bill on our front porch, on the outside table.  

When I arrived home, I found the invoice where she asked Tim to place it and they had only charged us for 1 hour 45 mins of labor and for the part.  I opened the HVAC access panel to inspect the work and was pleased to see a working, shiny new fan motor.  The house was warm and cozy again.

Many thanks to Barber HVAC and technician "Tim" for a job well done.  Highly recommend their "Service Special" rate of $60/hour!

Timely appointment, diagnosis, and resolution of the problem. No pushing for me to buy a new unit.

The installation went well and it is working fine so far. The owner was very responsive and his people seemed to know what they were doing.

After a call that the unit wasn't cooling properly, they cleaned the coil, checked the charge, checked the system and said that the operation was good on 7/15/10. However, the unit was still not cooling properly. On 8/28/10 I realized that the condenser fan wasn't turning properly. I called them on 8/30/10 to report this, and they immediately understood the problem. They quickly got to the house and corrected the problem with a new condenser fan motor.

Their pricing was very reasonable. They were very professional, patient, efficient and polite. They also came and did an overall maintenance check. Their product is of high quality and is very silent. I was very satisfied with their service.
