We didn't spend anything at all. Chris worked as a "buyers agent" for us. He did a great job. He worked with us for several months over all. We were trying to move from out of town and he was the only real estate agent who would work with us while we were still living about 3000 miles away. He actually drove out and took pictures of houses and basically did it for us prior to us moving down (most real estate agents are very busy during the time of year we were moving, so the fact that he took so much extra time to work with us was a huge plus in our book). His "pre-work" saved us quite a bit of time and worked out pretty well. We were actually first time home buyers on top of the fact that we were trying to make a long distance move at the same time. A lot of realtors don't even want to work with first time home buyers in the first place but he went out of his way for us in that respect. The process wasn't all perfect but I can't complain at all. We would use him again in the future if the need arose and we recommend him highly.

Tired of living in cold, snowy Vermont and looking forward to getting back to our native North Carolina, we scoured internet listings for just the right house. I emailed a few realtors, and got a few lukewarm responses, but nobody that really wanted to help me buy a house ASAP. That is until I heard back from Chris Pickel. We finally came to the conclusion that we had to raise our price point, and Chris started the whole process over of finding new houses, going to look at them and take pictures for us, and emailing them to Vermont. We finally made our move to NC and rented an apartment while we house hunted. Chris has been very patient and very helpful for two first time homebuyers with a special challenge of shopping from 1,000 miles away. We finally found our dream home and Chris worked hard to negotiate several sticking points on the sale. In the end, we have our lovely new home and couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Chris Pickel at Exit Mountain Realty. I hope to live in this house forever, but if I ever do move again, I would definitely use him for our next house. He stays in touch, is always willing to work with your schedule, and definitely goes above and beyond for his clients.
