CLARK TIRE & AUTO SVC

We have used him a few times.  They have good prices and are helpful.

When I set up the appt, I told the guy that I needed to purchase a new tire for the rear and that my spare was good so I needed to switch it with the other tire on the rear so that I would have 2 good tires on the rear of similar characteristics. My truck is 4wd so everyone knows you should at least replaced 2 at a time if not all four.
When I went around to take a look at my truck to see how it was going, the technician was in the process of returning the and quot;goodand quot; spare underneath my truck to it's storage location. So here's my truck with 3 almost bald tires and 1 new one. That's terrible. If I had known nothing about tires, I could have driven out of there and done some serious damage to my drive train.
Shouldn't a tire specialist make recommendations to their clients? Who QA's this guys work? I may go back there for tires but that's it. And I'll make sure I take a look at the work. I wouldn't recommend this shop for a laymen.

I called Clark Tires at the recommendation of a friend. I had a flat tire and wanted and overall check of my tires. The gentleman at Clark Tires came out and looked at all 4 of my tires. He explained how to tell if tires need to be replaced and then suggested I get new ones sometime before the winter sets in. Although there was absolutely no pressure to buy right away, I decided to purchase them that day. The salesman was very professional and went though the different types of tires, prices and rebates. Very helpful. The whole experience took about 45 minutes including a thorough explanation of warranty and replacement information. I will definitely purchase all of my tires from Clark Tires.

My wife received new tires. When driving home, her low pressure indicator light came on. The next morning we met and she noticed her front tire was almost flat, so we drove to the store. They removed the tire and said there was a leak high up on the side wall. I said I thought the tire was flawed. The probability of a new tire getting a nail puncture on the side is very low. They went for the manager.When he returned, he brought back the tire and a flashlight and pointed out a nail end inside the tire. Note when they brought out the tire the first time, they said it was a leak and did not point out the nail. So they offered to sell us another tire and quot;wholesale price.and quot; I asked them to put on the spare and put the damaged tire in the trunk. They came back to say there was no spare (our fault for not checking) but they could have a new tire by tomorrow. At the time of the visit, we had both kids and my wife's mother, so we needed the car because it had kid seats. In the end, we were forced to purchase another tire (of a different model) just so we could leave. Soon after leaving, the tire indicator lit up again.

Update: Owner called and offered to replace tire at no cost. Score updated.
