Appalachian Inspections

These comments are based on having owned 5 homes and sold 4 over the past 35 years. Chris came recommended by my realtor. The contract, payment and reports were all very professionally done and were extremely convenient; particularly during social distancing times. The report was the most thorough report I have seen, easy to understand, and a great value - Chris was giving some discounts due to the social distancing recommendations, however even at full price, this was great value.

Real estate agent contacted the inspector and coordinated the inspection. Inspection was thorough and caught several issues. Capturing the images allowed me to assess the importance of the concern and make an assessment. Inspection was completed in a timely manner. This worked out well for me and I would recommend the inspecting agent.

Chris was contacted via email and called me 30 min later. He was contacted on a Saturday and inspected the home on Monday - report was in my email Monday evening. Report was well laid out, photos were quality, descriptions were both professional and easily interpreted by the layman. Chris was timely, professional and his report greatly aided in my buyer negotiations. Thanks!

Chris was incredibly thorough and extremely detailed. He took time to answer all of our (many) questions and explained everything he noted in his inspection. He was honest and incredibly helpful too. He sent us his (very detailed) report in a ridiculously fast time - LESS than 12hrs. I was totally impressed.

I am a very handy individual with previous construction experience. Prior to deciding to buy a house I went over it myself in detail and didn't find anything other than age of the HVAC system and Roof that I considered potential problems. The home was meticulously maintained by the owner and I told him I'd be surprised if the inspector found much of anything.. I hired Chris to conduct a general home inspection as part of the due diligence process of purchasing the home on Beech Mountain. I was floored by the detail of his report and by his findings. He uncovered everything I had noted plus many things I had not. Most were small issues, a few were major (including the HVAC age and roof age), one issue, that I had not noticed, required immediate repair. We love the house and are definitely moving forward with the purchase but he likely saved us thousands of $s in future damages.
