Our wonderful realtor, Buck Heatherly of Beverly Hanks in Hendersonville, recommended Andrew Lozica when we called to inquire about building a wheelchair ramp. Andrew was working on Buck's home at the time.
We scheduled a consultation date, and Andrew and one of his workers showed up on time and went over our ideas with us for the wheelchair ramp and other aspects of our log home, including the siding and porch condition and care.
Andrew seemed very knowledgable, and said he would think about the design and get back to us with his thoughts.
We corresponded with him through email and then went to contract with a design that would integrate well with our existing porch decking, rails and supports.
Since we were not at the house during his construction, Andrew sent us photographs in emails to keep us informed of his progress.
When the work was completed, Andrew sent us more photographs as well. The work was well done and integrated perfectly with the existing design. The plankings were screwed in and the work is done for a lifetime of use. Andrew also replaced, without added cost, a few copper post toppers that were crushed years before. The treated lumber used for the ramp will need to age for approximately half a year before we can stain it to match the color of the existing porch.
We paid half on signing of the contract and half upon completion of the work.
