It went well. He came on a Saturday afternoon soon after I called. He was well equipped in his truck and found and fixed the problem right away. He also explained things I could to better to maintain the unit and showed me how to do them.

I used Angie's list to find a A/C repair person that had good reputation and was local to my community. I called a couple times to set up the appointment (because of my changing availability.) Tim was always good about returning my call in a timely manner. He arrived on time and checked out the A/C unit per my request. (He did call to reschedule his arrival time once but since my service call was not an emergency, I did not have a problem with the change in time - he did arrive when promised.)I plan to use Timpco again in the future for preventive service and if there is any trouble. Tim took the time to answer all my questions about the unit. He made the point that he does not sell service contracts for A/C check ups but depends on positive word of mouth for his business and handles calls as they come in. He is a one person operation but I appreciate having a ongoing working relationship with a heating and air repairman and - if that is your style too - I think you will be happy with Timpco.

I spent a little over $500 on that work. His name is Michael Timpco and he is a one man show, so sometimes I may have to wait a little. He gave me his cell phone number, so I can contact him on it directly, instead of calling on his home number and getting a recording. He also took the time to walk me through doing the work myself and I would say that is worth an A. I think that the price was marginally acceptable for this area. He usually says that he would get to the job before going home and he does. He may show up at 8 or 9 o’clock, so he is willing to do that and sometimes he will bring along his son and the two of them work on it. He does not leave a mess and he is polite and considerate. He is an HVAC guy and not an accountant, so he is very professional as an HVAC guy. I would highly recommend him to others. I am using him because a friend who was a neighbor used him and liked him and recommended him to me.

Tim Michaels is very professional and responsible. He doesn't bill up for every little thing and he doesn't do what isn't needed.
